C2C arguably defined her as an artist even more so than TF and TFM.

:rip:

half the GP doesnt know like any songs from the album even singles... they only saw tv performances and the videos were hardly whatched by anyone

it gives her a good immage. but it was hardly defining

Yes, I do.

I tend to watch her old performances more because I find them more magical (and nostalgic). I always watch Paparazzi from the 2009 VMA's and V Festival, Bad Romance from the X Factor etc.

She had this whole mysterious thing going for her which has unfortunately worn off now :noparty:

Yes, her whole mysterious persona has definitely worn off now but it shouldn't come as a surprise.  It's impossible for her to remain an enigma throughout her entire career.

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.

I just miss that endless promotion everywhere, getting 98798798798 live presentations for a single during Born this Way Era, but girl is getting ready to slay the world once more.:legend: (and by "the world" I mean us :sis:)

I don't think this is true, but I think her definition of success has changed.  Pop fans though gauge success by charts and sales.

She knows exactly what success is considering no one would notice her when she was Stefani. She's a commercial pop star and that means selling albums and stadiums. Maybe her definition of success has changed since she obtained what she was seeking for, the fame.

I think it has changed.  She's in the industry now, she has other goals dealing with a long term career and musical growth and maturity.

she wants to prove that she is so much more than just a "commercial pop star."

:applause:

I couldn't agree with you more.  It's unfortunate that some of her fans want to pigeonhole her as a commercial pop act who strictly does pop, dance, and EDM.

One day in the not-so-distant future, some of her fans will discover that Gaga's immense, musical and vocal talent cannot be restricted to pop.

It's literally not being restricted since we are in a Jazz era, the question do most people care about her doing those other genres?

She is a signed artist so she has to maintain a level of success

Well, obviously they do...as the tour is selling out everywhere it goes and it is drawing the biggest crowds at festivals. Contrary to the narrow viewpoint of some of the ~fans here, people do care about this jazz era...very much so!
