If someone asked you THE song of summer 2012, it was Call Me Maybe. Point blank period. The summer song is the one that blows up, and goes viral. The only point I was making was that she had a really big hit five consecutive summers! yup, Call me maybe. I feel like Wide awake is just a TD-reject (which it kinda was) and I only listened to it once But it was t though! I wonder if the original 12 track album and DU and POM were the only 14 songs recorded for TD. I still believe Milk milk lemonade is a TD outtake...sounds too much like the rest of the album not to be. There must be a few others...even though someone did day she only recorded the few best.... Maybe your radio station didn't play the song, but it peaked at number two on pop/chr, which happens to be the largest musical format in the world. Please check the facts before throwing out false information next time. Wide Awake was a huge radio hit. There's no opinion aspect of the argument. It peaked at number two, end of story.
