Mills 446
Teenage Dream was the illustrious anti-thesis of BTW and even TFM, a perfect paradigm that heavily shows the wide difference of the works and brand imaging of Gaga and Katy respectively, to an extent that I find Katy Perry as the anti-thesis of Gaga herself. TD is a great pop record of which the radio and the GP would love to hear and hear again topped with lyrics and tune one could sing along in a heartbeat. It was meant for commercial success and it did. With a superb handling of the singles to be released, the entire era pushed KP to become one of the world's biggest pop stars and she has never looked back ever since. Capitol has chosen to ponder the masses, instead of the critics, a move arguably Gaga opted not to for BTW. Because if she does, she should had hired the services of StarGate, Dr. Luke, Max Martin, Benny Blanco, and all the other established hit-making producers, and not take the chance on the relatively less established acts such as Garibay or DJWS. Isn't it?

Isn't it? well said. I also appreciated how you didn't say anything like "stargate, dr luke, max martin, Benny Blanco and other generic "producers"" like a lot of people here love to do
Mills 446
What I really like about Capitol and the team behind the Katy Perry money-making machine is that they know the opportunities handed to them. And they capitalized on it without any hesitations. Producers like StarGate, Dr. Luke, Benny Blanco, and others are well-known hit-makers. They know the taste of the general public so well that they could send a #1 single right away. Sometimes, one needs the experts to produce more effective, and better, results. KP is no Miss-Know-It-All, and that's why she's successful.

ALX 170
When do you guys think we'll get the first single? It's supposed to be released in the summer or right before so I'd expect it in May, which means an instant smash if the cards are played right. Basically the same formula as California Gurls and Teenage Dream
Mills 446
KP would easily get her 8th HOT 100 #1 single. And a summer release would secure that.

DMTT 160
Ah I would love that. An alternative rock record would be beautiful
ALX 170
Her own Rolling In The Deep? Interesting. Circle the Drain and Part of Me were breakup anthems. I don't think she has the vocal capabilities to put out something like Rolling in the Deep as much as I dislike Adele

alposnacks 1
Arguably? I dunno I'm not a Nicki Minaj fan by any stretch but if there was ever one objective pop song of the summer recently it'd have to be Super Bass.
