I loved the movie and I like her music a lot, but it still left me with the impression that she is a b---h.

Nah, she isn't a b---h, she's just like very girly and american princess like, which annoys me sometimes.

Are any of the songs performed in the film? Or is it just a documentary?

Quite a few! From the top of my head, I remember Teenage Dream, Who Am I Living For?, Peacock, California Girls, Hot N Cold, I Kissed A Girl, Thinking of You, Firework :eww: , Last Friday Night, ET, and Hummingbird Heartbeat.

I've been listening to One of the Boys nonstop since watching the movie. It's such a fantastic album :music:

To be honest, I've never been a fan of hers, but there was a time back in late 2008 and early 2009 that I foresaw she and Gaga would be the future of pop music, and it actually did. But overall, she isn't my cup of tea. Sorry to all the katycats who love Gaga as well! She's a singles artist who can make a thousand #1 hits as much as she and her label want, but to be a pop icon, you need more than just that. I would never be surprised that one day Katy would even surpass Mariah's HOT 100 record, but does that make her any better than Mariah Carey or even the likes of the Beatles? #1s are not everything.

i just finally saw the movie. it was cheesey and corny at parts, but i thought it was good overall :)

she has a REALLY interesting history/backstory. what people don't realize is that: she worked just as hard as gaga to acheive what she did AND she suffered even more than gaga did while trying to acheive it. that's why i hate when people say katy doesn't deserve all that she has--she deserves her success just as much as gaga does, and they BOTH have part in being two of the most influential women of today's pop music. idc what anyone says.

Except we don't know what suffering Gaga went through because she refuses to talk about certain details, which can't be good

AND she suffered even more than gaga did while trying to acheive it.

According to Katy Perry's PR team :usrs:

I have no doubt that Katy Perry's journey wasn't easy, but I don't understand people who see this movie and go "This changed everything!" It was made by her people, of course she's going to be an angel. Just like Marry the Night, only Gaga admits that was partially if not fully created.

right, true. i guess my intention wasn't to downplay gaga's road to fame, but moreso acknowledge the fact that katy worked just as hard and suffered like gaga did...since so many people downplay her career and success.

oh it's def fabricated...like how they made russel seem like the bad guy (she was alllwyas flying out to see him, etc.). which, perhaps the bias they extended is true, maybe she was the only one trying--who knows.

all i'm saying is what i clarifed up there--that it wasn't easy for her :)

Economy

Before i start, i realise that this should be in the entertainment section but my dads stupid parental control that he implemented for me and my little brothers isnt letting me access that forum section for some reason so id appreciate it if a mod could move it there. Thankyou :)

Anyway, two thursdays from now we may see KAty Perry at #1 again this time with "wide awake". It remains at #1 on itunes and looking at its current radio audience impressions and how fast its climbing, and the fact that "call Me Maybe" is falling, we may see Wide Awake replace that song for #1

Thoughts on yet another #1 for Katy?

Just hoping it'll fall too.

And uh if it actually gets to #1 i think it's just because of the movie.
