Kayla 7,595
I know people are upset, which is highly understandable, but I think it's great that someone making healthier choices is making the news like this. Especially in the USA where obesity is a huge problem and our food is overly processed and people eat so much junk, making a big deal out of being healthy and conscious about where you food comes from is important. Also, black women have the highest rates of obesity, and Beyonce promoting healthy eating as a black woman makes her a good role model. So before you go bashing this or saying you're unimpressed, think about how the media promoting healthy lifestyles can affect society. In my opinion, that's WAY better than a new single. EDIT: Also, people should get the facts straight. She didn't just go on to say she's vegan, she's getting promo for her new vegan diet program. Personal trainers and nutritionists have gotten interviews for their diet programs, weight loss programs, exercise methods, etc. Beyonce is no different. People just got hyped because it's Beyonce and now they're pissed she's trying to help people get healthy (and make cash off of it) when they wanted something music-related. Kayla 7,595
eatting meat is a natural thing, our body needs it, that's why vegans even takes pills for certain proteins that they just can't get from vegetables. ps: I don't eat a lot of milk, actually I don't eat that much, I get satisfied very easy We do? Some do. I don't, and I'm fine. It's funny how if I order food without meat at a restaurant people will ask me "Oh, are you vegetarian?" and I say yes, then they "What about protein?" and I shortly explain that I can get those nutrients from my diet. Meanwhile, the person that ordered a burger and fries isn't asked "How do you get [insert any nutrient found in vegetables/fruits here]?" since apparently all you need is protein. People don't seem to care which nutrients you're getting unless you're vegan/vegetarian, it seems. Hidden Content I know you're joking, but I'm going to comment on this with my own experience too. :P My reply to the quote above this one is something I get a lot. And almost every vegan/vegetarian I know I usually only find out when I notice they don't eat meat and happen to ask them about it. I've only ever had someone outright say "I'm vegetarian/vegan," if we were already talking about food. The only time my diet comes up in conversation is if the topic is diet or if someone specifically asks me about it. I've also never heard/seen a veg person say "Ugh, you're eating meat...." to anyone. Those people exist, but honestly they're rare and I'm willing to bet people talking about those "types" of veg's have never even met one. Honestly, I've been preached at more about eating meat than I've heard myself or anyone else preach at others about being vegetarian/vegan. And the moment I say what my diet is I'm questioned and criticized. So yeah, this whole "How do you know someone is a vegan? - They'll tell you!" "LOLOLOL aren't they dumb? They need meat; they must be SO unhealthy. Meat is great. PETA - People Eating Tasty Animals, LMFAO" type of junk is lame, biased, and false.

Kayla 7,595
I am not vegan and I'm far away from being fat or unhealthy so yeah...I never said non-vegans are unhealthy. I do apologize if my post came off that way, though. It's just one method. (If you do it right. I mean...there are unhealthy vegan/vegetarians!)What I mean is Beyonce is promoting her method of eating healthier.
Gagy 419
I am not vegan and I'm far away from being fat or unhealthy so yeah...She never wrote that in her post and she never mentioned you. You can't deny that obesity is a problem in a lot of industrial countries. And yes, you can eat healthy without being vegan but thinking about changing your diet or different forms makes you more conscious. Is that bad?
