I can name other situations when Madonna has used these tactics as a relevancy resource... Bitch, she's Madonna... literally, her whole career is a transparent attempt to stay relevant through some cheap controversy. Why is everyone surprised? I think it's valid, she didn't do it for the first 2 videos at least.

I think Madonna has always found the balance between remaining true, at a certain extent, to her art and artistic expression and the desperate tricks media and gp need from music stars to continue to give them attention. She knows best, she's both a an artist and bussines woman, although I don't think it's working for her this time, people aren't here for Madonna anymore no matter what, it seems!

The promotion of this album is one of the strongest she ever done. The leaks three months before the release and the lack of interest toward her new music are the only reason why it doesn't sell well. She did two big awards performance plus 12 other small TV performances, that's huge for Madonna's standart.
