OPINION: There is no reason for Lady Gaga to underperform for the next one

​Actually ARTPOP wasn't a bad album, imo. It had the potential to chart well so it's not ARTPOP's fault it underperformed, but the poor promotion after Do What U Want. So promotion and good music should exist together, merely good music won't do enough justice.

​Tbh she could have lodged at least 4 #1s from Ap with a nice era

Cmon now. ARTPOP contains some of Gagas worst songs.  ARTPOP flopped because of its bad music. It had a 80% second week drop in sales.  It did not even have singles worthy songs besides DWUW and Applause. The management was juuuuust a little part of the problem

You guys just shouldn't have any expectations about the potential commercial succes of the next album. Just let Gaga do ha thing, and what happens, happens.

Sure, she has better management. Sure, she has RedOne. Still does not guarantee anything. Just sit back and enjoy whatever we'll get.

Back then when Gaga dominated the world, she just made music, without thinking that much about the charts

 

so i think, Gaga, deliver good fresh interesting music, and you'll succeed

especially after this long pause since ARTPOP with C2C inbetween, and several more positive moments(AHS reveal, Oscars performance) , people will definitely pay attention to her first single.

So the first single should be choosen wisely (but not safely! taking risks can be beneficial)

You must be kidding me. Gaga was very chart conscious back then and her team was very aggressive in bringing her to the top, they planned everything in the beginning.

The success of the era will entirely depend on how it is played out

proper timing, picking the right singles, performances, proper approach, withdrawl when start of over-exposure
