Question about wig styling,and let's share our halloween stories

Hi Monsters,this year i dressed up lady gaga for the halloween,the outfit was inspired by G.U.Y's video and i made the costume by myself,although the white wig i bought it wasnt the best ever.So for the next halloween. in which i was thinking to dress up like Venus-Gaga ,i want to get a better more natural wig ,

do you think i can style it so it will look like Gaga's Venus wig??  and how?

You need to backcomb, tease and hairspray the **** out of it, I think it'll look good.

I think it's possible with @Iismetti's instructions, but it would a lot of work and you might not be satisfied with it. Also Gaga's Venus/artRAVE wig is custom made and probably has two layers of hair stacked upon each other (aka twice as much hair as a normal wig).

I perform in drag so I've had some experience with wigs. I had a blonde curly wig I tried to turn into a Venus wig and it didn't turn out the way I wanted it to and I don't think yours would either. Try something like this -

and tease and backcomb the top of it to a certain extent. Lace front wigs like the one you have give a more natural hairline which help the look but its hard to find a cheap one with enough hair to look like a Venus wig. I would maybe try this one, good cosplay wig company and with some good styling could turn out good!

yeah i thought that the amount of the hair might not be enough to create the biiiiig Venus wig,but i like it cause its natural, 

the Gaga wig from http://www.geishawigs.bigcartel.com/product/venus-aphrodite-lady-gaga-style-geisha-wigs-exclusive is very good as i can see ,and cheap,but its sold out unfortunately :(

and the other from Etsy is toooo expensive ,i really can't even think about it hahaha

i really loved being gaga for halloween ,i felt a little awkward because it was my first time dressed up like a girl and especially Gaga but at the end of the day it was really fun and enjoyed it! :D

I've never done drag in my entire life and 5 years ago I decided to dress up as Gaga for Halloween.  My costume was the Bad Romance black outfit Gaga's wearing at the beginning of the video where she's wearing sunglasses and staring into the mirror.  I even made the black crown-like thing and all.  It was pretty cool!

Like you, I felt very awkward at first because I'd never done something like this before but I had so much fun!!!

When you find a wig and its kinda flat, just tease it till it stands up ;P but no really. I have a lot of experience with huge hair (not venus big, but ya know) I dressed up as Venus Gaga (thong and all) for the second LA date of the artRAVE and just spent a lot of time teasing my hair/curling the ends. It was really cool I got a lot of compliments that day :] good luck friend!
