Miley was more iconic then her in 2013 and now Taylor is more iconic than her in 2015 but I will say that no one in their prime has yet to match Gaga during TF/TFM and Beginning of BTW's peak.Edit: This doesn't include anyone before 2008Edit II: She's still the most talented artist since 2008, regardless of commercial success. Really think about the word iconic. Has Taylor had any iconic performances? What about music videos? I know the Bad Blood video is big right now, but is it actually iconic? When I think of iconic I think Madonna's conical bra, Britney with the snake, Gaga's meat dress. Mariah Carey is hugely successful, but she hasn't had many iconic videos or performances. Taylor has no iconic outfits. No iconic performances, or really videos. Big tours, number one hits, and huge album sales don't make you an iconic. I think to be "iconic" you need to have a big visual and cultural impact. Nothing Taylor has done has been on the level of Katy's blue wig or Gaga coming out of the vessel. I actually disagree and think Taylor now is bigger than TFM/BTW Gaga. Look at the size of the stadiums she's playing! She has had 3 number ones and 4 top tens off of this album already, even the promo singles with no videos did well. The radio plays her nonstop. Even so, she isn't an icon. darkwolf 590 Posted May 30, 2015 Share Posted May 30, 2015 I didn't said that she wasn't but now she doesn't seem to be in everyone's attention , no matter how many achievements she has I think you're confusing popularity with the fact of being an icon. There are lots of celebrities who are very popular right now but they are far from being iconic. Even gaga isn't in everyone's attention at this time, but that doesn't take anything from the fact that she left her own mark on pop music and culture. I understand what you are saying but sales can't be compared to being a icon. What makes Taylor an icon? I can agree on some points in Cyrus, but yeah. No. She is fierce she is on the top she is iconic and she is born this way Yes, and yes. So my question is, can you think any other artist right now who is more iconic and on the top than Gaga?
