Also, interesting how Taylor cut two of her own verses on her own song to include Kendrick, who has also been seeing a lot of praise because of his latest album, around the time she was dropping the video.

But Taylor is a huge Kendrick fan and has wanted to work with him for like a long time. Lamar said the same himself back in January that he'd loved to work with her. It's not like she had any of that in mind (his current praise) when she had him for the remix :toofunny:

Who's about to hear that and be like "Man, better not **** with Taylor!" ?
Nobody.

omg I love this. :dies:

That fighting scene was so bad. She's not a good actress, I'm sorry.

Joseph Khan, you didn't impress me. :neyde:

Happy that Gaga got rid of your bitter ass. :neyde:

That I do know- didn't he even cover Shake it Off?
I just feel like his "feature" turned Taylor into a feature on her own song, and including him as a "collaboration" for a remix for the video (to hype the song) doesn't seem like a genuine collaboration as much as another friend added to the mix to get more attention to a song that already existed.

It just...it doesn't feel genuine or creative.

It's certainly different compared to all the other remixes that throw in the rapper simply to cover the bridge. Or have a quickie intro. Tay even went so far as to change the instrumental. You have to admit it had more thought and effort than your common pop star remix

Cute video, but is this seriously the video that's breaking records?

Seriously?

Every star she had featured in the video did next to nothing. The only person who actually made a difference was Kendrick because he had a vocal part, the rest of the roles were not even relevant enough to justify putting a celebrity in their place to begin with.

And nothing about the song is as badass as this video wants to pretend it is.

Nobody.

And it's not like the background music is bangin' either.

Taylor's album as a whole deserves praise, but I'm actually really sick of how the ground she walks on is worshipped and every little thing she does is apparently wonderful.

Storyline was simple, idea itself is tried, wasn't campy enough to be fun or serious enough to be taken seriously, and the whole dye-your-hair-red and be a secret agent busting ass with flames in the background was pulled off way better by Britney in the Toxic video twelve years ago.

Rant OVER.

its just her "imperial phase". She'll come down soon like everyone else. She plays it safe and has awesome promo which is probably why she has managed to achieve success again and again. But isnt she currently playing sold out stadiums? So yeah im expecting her to become over saturated soon.

I'm not a Taylor fan but I actually like a lot this video, something different from her.

They inserted all these cameos in the right way and the video is not messy like I was expecting.
The remix perfectly works for the video and the song improved with that.
