Lydia Lunch not so fond of Lady Gaga?

How does being weird and admiring a weird person equate to "paying someone to make you weird"? :awkney: I was a weird awkward kid before Gaga hit the scene and that's the reason I was drawn to her-- because she was both weird AND successful at the same time. Gaga didn't "make" me weird, she made me feel like there was still hope for us natural weirdos to become beautiful, beloved, and influential while still staying true to our weirdness

My old cat is a tough man, but i cant deny the way he bites my hand and he stabs me, he grabs me by my heart <3

I agree. Her fashion was Dada and Nicola's imagining. REGARDLESS, I'm ultimately a fan of Gaga's music. I first heard her on radio and listened to The Fame before any significant visual stimulus i.e. post-Paparazzi.

I don't get it. She is saying Gaga is branding "weirdness". The fact that she even labels individuality as "weird" disturbs me.

Well, I can say down South (my region anyway) that "weirder" gets you ostracized and bullied. She was very blessed to be living in an area that celebrated diversity (or did it)? It seems from what I've read here,  as well as my own experiences, the experiences of my sister, my friends, her friends, etc, that "weird" was barely tolerated, if at all. Homos-xuality is absolutely not, and my high school we had students throwing N bombs and words like f*g and d*ke like they were running out of style. I had many gothy/alternative friends that despite being funny, artsy, and very smart, were bullied CONSTANTLY.

What Gaga is "selling" is universal acceptance, diversity, and recognizing own self-worth. AKA Confidence. AKA what is needed to live life as a well-rounded, happy human being. And happy people breed happier people, while influencing others to be happy.

Ms. Lunch may want to take several steps back, and re-examine her views.

Yes!!!  :applause:   :applause:Thank you for putting Ms. Lunch in her place LoveandMagic!  I agree that people should be entitled to their opinion but Lydia Lunch shouldn't go around slandering Gaga when she has no idea who the fvck Gaga is!  Like, really?  Ok, rant over.

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.

There are always gonna be radicals who think Gaga's fake or exploitative. Let's save our ammo for when somebody relevant comes for Gaga. :hunty:

I'm not a woman. I'm not a man. I am something that you'll never understand.
