Xgongiviguess 396 Posted May 17, 2015 Share Posted May 17, 2015 I applaud your bravery and guts and the way you got through your struggles I agree that it helps, but there are unfortunately gonna be horrible homophobic people anywhere Some people are simply too afraid to push through their fear like you did, it can take more time for them to prepare and give themselves the push. When they do it's great because the rewards can be huge (like opening the eyes of those around them, which is invaluable ), but it's also a risk some aren't willing to take because they can lose a lot. Some get kicked out permanently and would rather not endure all of that and so wait it out until they're in a safer situation to do so instead. I just don't think it's fair to belittle other people's struggles because you've (general you, not you specifically) come out of difficult situations on top you make some good points. Creyk 16,949 Posted May 17, 2015 Share Posted May 17, 2015 the funny part is that i went from Syria, to live in United Arab Emirates for a year, and then I found out that gays get stoned there. literally and I completely shut down and went back in the closet, but now I'm back in Syria and I'm as vibrant and comfortable as ever..
