Yes, it is irrelevant but most irrelevant? Reaching! There many country, r&b, urban (list goes on) charts that are just as irrelevant, yet no country, r&b, urban or any other genre artists have as many #1's in such

I dont think I'm reaching. This chart is simply doesnt represent ANY popularity, and it works REALLY strange... for example its a "rule" for this chart that every week has to bring a new number one... also when a song reaches #3, the next week it goes #2, and then #1... EVERY. TIME. Madonna fans even made a thread about it a week ago when it was #2, because they were sure it climbs another spot like #2 songs always do.
At least country charts do represent something measurable... for example country airplay, or country single sales or whatever...
Billboard simply failes to explain how or why this chart works like this, and why songs with no popularity in the US (not in the top 500 on iTunes, no airplay, nothing) can top it easily, randomly...

Poor her... I completely agree with the article, if this was The Rolling Stones or something everybody would be talking about it and nobody would say their album is a flop.

That would be because the rolling stones don't try to pander to the younger generation, they have a strong enough following without that... madonna on the other hand seems to willingly tarnish her reputation by making more and more awkward decisions in recent eras.

This is the first article I've even seen from the Inquisitor and I hope it's the last tbh.

its Billboard's most irrelevant chart lol... its only relevant for Madonna fans, at least they can pretend there's some success around this album and especially its singles...

It's one of them. The other being the Hot Single Sales chart. It measure physical single sales. You sell ten physical singles and your at the top of that chart.

The chart is literally run by a 50 year old German Madonna stan that obsesses about charts and sales and makes wild guesses about sales in countries that don't track sales. The fact that this sh*tshow of a site is so valued among chart freaks is emberassing. :rip:

Regardless, Madonna still falls at the top spot based on certifications and Billboard achievements. So you're basically arguing with no substance as you're argument leads us to nowhere but my original post. :smh:

& i'd love to see the proof of what you just said, can you provide me with links?

You are right, but there many other Billboard charts that work the same way, so it's not the most irrelevant, it's juts one of them!

Not true some songs like Wake me Up have topped it for some weeks

The longest topper was for 11 weeks

I tend to worry about fans who base their liking of an artist upon how many achievements they have and that quote them constantly... to me it defeats the purpose of being a 'fan' lol

I'm talking about recent years, Billboard changed the rules since then...
Wake Me Up and Get Lucky were the only exceptions with 2 weeks in the last 3 years, but even those were in 2013...

Which is why I said that the effort was nice and you defending her over pettiness was appreciated. My point was not Madonna or her career/sucess/sales at all.

Also: The charts from countries without sales stats are weighted to the size of its markets according to the latest IFPI-statistics (exception: albums with huge sales in these countries are weighted higher). (aka: The sales of countries without stats are guessed/estimated from the monetary stats released by IFPI in the previous year)

No Gaga is

Gaga is not the Queen of Dance or the Queen of Pop, she's the Queen of Music.  Period.

As for all the bickering going on back and forth, please, let's just let it go.  No more fighting please!

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.
