Jjang 2,262
The quote is messed up. All of Gaga's performances are arranged and rehearsed beforehand, Gaga herself stated that she rehearses every step she takes on stage, Gaga's concerts are no conventional rock concerts. Its pretty funny you'd mention that though, Madonna was the first artist to ever merge the elements of a theatrical show and a rock concert with The Blond Ambition tour. She set a new modern touring pattern which most artists (including Gaga) follow these days. She was able to entertain the entire crowd here with just a mic. (and it was live). giskardsb 12,565
99 percent of collabs are for marketing and don't serve the music. I'm not against Collabs if they have artistic purpose and the artists are a good match. The vast majority of Pop Collabs are horrible tho.
Whispering 18,865
I agree. I would much rather Gaga collaborate with other artists like herself. I would much prefer excellent vocalists and/or songwriters, such as Sia, Adele, Bruno, etc.

I understand your point (I would never say your quote is messed up though) because I respect your opinion and hope u respect mine.

The Blond Ambition tour is known and credited to be the premiere of theatrics & performance art being embraced into pop culture. It incorporated as central themes, s-xuality and Catholicism, a combination which engendered controversy. It morphed a new definition of pop stardom. It was the first mainstream concert that was separated into sections "Metropolis, Religious, Dick Tracy, Art Deco and Encore" - some of the themes of which play a central role in tours like The Monster Ball & The Born This Way Ball. Critics such as the Rolling Stone magazine hailed it as the best tour of the 90's for its innovation. No, you misunderstood that part of my comment... your quote was actually bugged (look back at it).

But we could go on all day and bore the rest of the members. And I'm kinda bored now. ..
Divine 1,819
And I don't think that she'll ever do a collaboration with any Pop girl anytime, I think she's clearly over the messy mainstream aspect that the industry has taken during the past 2 years. I don't understand why most of you want her to collaborate with Pop girls such as Katy or Madonna, it will be a huge step back for Gaga (artistically) and she would be going against all the things she stands for. Look, she had a wonderful year beginning, Grammy Performance + CTC Grammy victory, Oscars performace, AHS, Shiseido. She has truly become a class act, everyone started to respect her again. Why do you want her to collaborate with mainstream artists (especially the ones who've been shading her to death and who also have a bad reputation?) duh be realistic. first, she will ruin what she stands for? NO. Duhh she's not consistent she change plans, she learns everday.. so the things she might stand for maybe changed ( it can have additionals or it could be diminished) Second, If you talk about being "artistic".. theres no problem about having a collab.. when she was on the fame/ the fame monster.. She was art without even trying.. and of course thing about it.. she will be less stressed about those feud.. and art could mean anything. LASTLY SHE IS AN ARTIST.. she needs hit aswell.. if you wanna see her perform.. get grammys... vmas... etc etc she need that hit or else she will be taken down by the new ones or get snubbed. And for your information its hard for the general public to love her again duh.. lets face the fact that she was well loved during the fame. but the things you mentioned like grammys, Oscar performance, ctc is a good start for her image to be respected. learn to connect things in real life. understand gaga..be realistic (dont just tell she must not collab bla bla bla she's class act duuh annoying) she's not a class act. you can say she's an "EVOLVING ARTIST" and ohh talent is not just based on whether how you are good at singing.. dancing.. etc etc.. i might say katy has a talent though.. just think of it. if she does not have a talent.. why she's an mainstream artist.. maybe not in singing.. but she can make good music and thats her talent.. Dont limit the possibilities "And I still love you even if I can't see you anymore."
Bradley 59,023
Here for Gaga feat. Madonna. Guarenteed slayage. Madonna isn't that helpful honestly, her singles weren't as good as Rihanna or Katy's.
Neal 768
The reason why I think Gaga should not do a Madonna collaboration is because I think Madonna has just been such a b---h to her in the past. Always was. So
