Kayla 7,595 Posted May 8, 2015 Share Posted May 8, 2015 'The Fame' & 'Born This Way' are great in their own aspects, even though i tend to slightly prefer TF over BTW. 'ARTPOP' comes 3rd best for me. It has some really fun and enjoyable tracks (Sexxx Dreams, Fashion!, Venus), but on the other hand it has songs that completely lack tact when it comes to the music written into them (Swine, Aura, MJH, Donatella, DWUW). And then you have other songs that provide us nothing but a basically structured and rather tepid production along with half baked ideas attached to them. (Gypsy, Dope). The album falls flat as whole. 'The Fame Monster' comes last for me. I can't help but to feel unsatisfied when it ends with Teeth. Even songs like Dance in The Dark and Alejandro already sound so dated, although i do love the production and the lyrics of DITD, the finalized version is unpleasant to my ears. My favorites are Teeth and SHICD. Generally speaking, that album is criminally overrated by most Pop fans. It doesn't stand out in her discography in comparison to her other albums. Its so easily forgettable. Nice constructive criticism. What do you love about Gaga, though? I adore her early days performances back in 2008 - 2009 when she was in absolute total creative control in everything that was happening around her. The Fame era was a genius debut. I miss those days. I'm obsessed with the rock side to her voice. I hope one day she indeed comes out with an alternative rock / soul album. - I'm here for that. My all time favorite tracks are probably ; Heavy Metal Lover, Electric Chapel, So Happy I Could Die, Paper Gangsta & Till It Happens To You. Although they do tend to change from time to time.
