It's sad that the best album of all time aka the masterpiece known as The Fame Monster is being underrated on GGD. Tbh us TFM stans use to rule GGD, we would win all polls that stated which is the best Gaga album up to 2012 tbh. But ever since BTW came out we kept decreasing and after ARTPOP we are almost extinct now due to two reasons either some of us stopped stanning for Gaga completely or became Katy Cats . I know some adults here prefer btw and ARTPOP as well but those albums cater more towards pre teens/teenagers which is the majority of this website so that's why they are the most favorited on this forum. For me I always thought Bloody Mary was just a song that the producer played around with instruments to make it sound "different". I think the title is more interesting than the song itself because the lyrics are just mehh and the production had so much potential but ended up sounding like a luigi's mansion soundtrack. I wish the song sounded more holy and medieval then I would have perhaps somewhat liked the song. I think scheisse is the only btw song I can still listen to along with the edge of glory. GagaSkeletonWay 2,073 Posted May 8, 2015 Share Posted May 8, 2015 Born This Way is a masterpiece, you may like it or not but the quality is there I think, overall, the Born This Way era was Gaga's artistic peak so far, just look at the legendary Bloody Mary or Government Hooker and the amazing Born This Way Ball stage and performances. It has some really fun and enjoyable tracks (Sexxx Dreams, Fashion!, Venus), but on the other hand it has songs that completely lack tact when it comes to the music written into them (Swine, Aura, MJH, Donatella, DWUW).And then you have other songs that provide us nothing but a basically structured and rather tepid production along with half baked ideas attached to them. (Gypsy, Dope).The album falls flat as whole.'The Fame Monster' comes last for me. I can't help but to feel unsatisfied when it ends with Teeth. Even songs like Dance in The Dark and Alejandro already sound so dated, although i do love the production and the lyrics of DITD, the finalized version is unpleasant to my ears.My favorites are Teeth and SHICD.Generally speaking, that album is criminally overrated by most Pop fans. Mills 446 Posted May 8, 2015 Share Posted May 8, 2015 What's really amazing about Gaga's major albums - from The Fame in 2008 all the way to Cheek to Cheek in 2014 - is that all of them are outstanding in their own ways, especially compared to the majority of the other albums released before, during, and even after them. Plus, it's vividly clear through her major releases that she progresses as an artist, regardless of the commercial and critical reception she gets every time she drops an album. If not as a songwriter, then as a vocalist.And this very streak of hers is the one that gives me unwavering confidence that her next album could become among her best, if not the best itself. She's just too talented to be merely underestimated. And that's among the many reasons why I loved and continue to love her no matter what the cynics badly want to convince people who are not them.
