Am I the only one that didn't like Clumsy? (no shade to Fergie)

Marry the Night is definitely one of my absolute fave Gaga tracks. It just has that classic sound and feel. I actually prefer it to Edge of Glory.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

i think its unfair to deny songs like mtn as a classic simply because it wasnt a huge hit. thats only the one-dimensional definition of a classic. to me, marry the night is one of those songs that is a classic in nature, just the feeling it inspires whenever i hear it, the passion, it always gets me in a fighter spirit which was what born this way was all about. it has a classic 80s disco sound, idk...it feels like a real classic to me. there's plenty of popular songs now that don't leave any mark on me and probably will be forgotten in the grand scheme of pop culture.

I was surprised when i saw that it flopped. Most of my family and friends know of the song? Where did it peak in Australia?

Of course It is a classic. Mess @ all of you saying it is not.

Yes it had low sales, but it was a standout of the album. If it had been released as a lead single, it would have smashed.

In my messy era.

Poker Face is a classic. Bad Romance is a classic. Marry The Night is not a classic. At least it got acknowledgement.

So Last Friday Night is not a classic? :green:

MTN wasn't THAT big of a flop as everyone like to claim it... it did decent I think... it's known by a lot of people unlike G.U.Y. that is the definiton of a flop...

We thought it was.

Then G.U.Y. was released.

Billboard is mess this days ... but that is the least that they could do after labeling One Last Time a smash hit  tumblr_m7wv2eYrk51r17mw1.gif

MTN might be called as FLOP, but we cant deny it's impact and relevancy.

It's not a classic and those of you who are arguing this by calling us chart biased are wrong. Poker Face, Bad Romance, The Edge of Glory are all classics because they're all known and respected hits. Not many people outside of the fanbase know MTN, therefore it cannot be a classic (and the family members/friends you played BTW to don't count)

This isn't to bash MTN because it's a really good song. It actually SHOULD be a classic because it's one of the best off of BTW and it didn't deserve to flop but it's not a classic because it's not very well known.
