Me Against the Music ****ing sucks.

Hold It Against Me and Oops are waay ****ing better than Work Bitch. Work Bitch was abysmal.

But i'll agree that stacked up against everything else, this is her worst lead single. But that title was previously held by Work Bitch imo.

I like Me Against The Music cause it's dark and moody and i've never heard anything like it before. It's very weird and different from any pop song and any Britney song. It's crazy that they decided that should be the lead single, It's not commercial at all.

Hold It Against Me is a very basic pop song, it sounds like Kesha and to me that is not a good thing. I love the music video and the dubstep break was everything at that time but it wasn't enough to save a very generic song in my opinion. Oops! is low on the list because it's basically the same song as ...Baby One More Time. You can sing BOMT on top of the entire instrumental with no changes necessary.

And I like Work Bitch because for the first time in years Britney showed some attitude in her vocals and lyrics. It wasn't just some basic song about love or s-x. The instrumental is very generic, i know, but at least it's hard hitting and there is no better song at the gym.

Currently I'm singing "wake me up before you go-go", so no.

Hold It Against Me Is whatevers, I like it, I don't mind it, I don't love it. But I thought that Femme Fatale overall was her best album since Blackout. I felt it brought Britney effortlessly into contemporary trends without at all losing herself in the process and delivered the shallow pop trash that only Britney could bring so perfectly/shamelessly. So even though HIAM is probably only somewhere in the middle of my Britney lead single list, I respect it.

Tbh I can care less about Oops, I just think its better than Work Bitch lol

The only cred ill give Work Bitch is that it sounded expensive and I liked the music video, but the song itself is just so incredibly dumb and is a west hollywood cliche. I just hate it. But Pretty Girls, as a lead single, is even worse. However, not as bad as some of her past album tracks.

I finally found someone who agrees with me on this :laughga:

It blows my mind that there are so many fans that **** on Femme Fatale. It really does. Britney is all about superficial pop and Femme Fatale delivered infectious pop sleaze in spades while maintaining everything you're supposed to love about Britneys music. I rolled my eyes at every fan that solely didn't like the album because they felt it was too "shallow", I was like its a Britney Spears album...is that a joke?

I agree with you on that. I'm not a big fan of Circus although it has some ok songs it sounds a bit cheap to me. And let's not talk about Britney Jean... So yes, Femme Fatale is her best album since Blackout, it sounds expensive, the production is great and it has one of her best songs in my opinion, Inside Out.

I think the era left a bad taste in everyones mouth because she went from the energetic Circus Britney into the awkward Britney have now in interviews and performances and that made everyone hate the album as well.

At the time I thought Circus was a total bore with the exception of Unusual You. I thought overall the production was kind of bland and a huge step back from the infectious thumping grime of Blackout. Nothing really stands out to me, it kind of all just blends together. But as the years have gone on I like it a little bit more. I still think it was a pretty weak Britney record though and overrated since its hailed as her comeback record.

Yeah the hate for FF seems to be a complete fan issue from my perspective. Its fans hating that her performances/interviews sucked. They hate the era itself which makes them convince themselves that they hate the album as well. But to be quite honest, I dont think Britney was even all that great during the Circus era either. I dont think shes been a true pop spectacle since In the Zone. So for me, as long as she delivers a good cd, it doesn't matter that all she does is flip her hair on stage and walk back and forth. All I want from her is some catchy pop sleaze to listen to. I gave up on getting old-Britney back a long ass time ago. I think a lot of her fans still havent let that hope go completely.

Omg, I LOVE Inside Out!

I like a lot of Britney's work, though I wasn't crazy for her first two albums (except Stronger). I like Britney, love In The Zone and Blackout, like Circus, and love Femme Fatale.

I'm not really feeling this new track apart from some elements (namely the instrumental), but I hope it will grow on me and/or I will love the video. Good luck to Brit and Iggy, hopefully the GP will dig it!

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."
