Can we stop with the "recycled songs" from ARTPOP

Well.. most of them were 100% kept and copied  At least, the ones I know of: Aura, MANiCURE and Donatella (the last two being an almost exact replica). Not much tweaking going on there.

Anyhow, I don't really care because that's just what happens when you make electronic pop music, but it's just a bit.. I don't know, I mean, I don't care but I don't like that she does it either. I'd prefer her to work with her producers from scratch. Or she could at least be honest about it and say that no, she doesn't write all of her music. It's that dishonesty that puts me (and others I imagine) off.

what ? I did not know about MANiCURE. What is the first version of it ? Name, artist ?

EDIT: Found it...

I have a feeling that we'd be surprised how many Gaga songs were partially or entirely crafted on top of pre-existing instrumentals. And that's fine, they're still impressive as hell. But the lyrics and melodies are original, and that is most important for me.

Ever since ARTPOP's release, many here have decided to call some of ARTPOP's songs "recycled songs". And all I have to say is that it doesn't matter whether or not some songs already had some pre-made instrumentals as long as the final result is good. All of those Zedd's or Madeon's songs you call recycled were never released anyway. And if Gaga saw some of these pre-made instrumentals fit to accompany her melodies and lyrics, than what is the problem? If you don't like some of these songs because you just don't like them than that is fine, but not liking something just because you know that some instrumentals were pre-made is pretty shallow.

But the thing is, wouldn't you want fresh music for a new album? If you hired a producer to appear on a highly anticipated album, wouldn't you want the producer or dj to put their all into the album and create new material for you? Not just put your vocals on a track made for someone else? I would approach producing as getting to know the artist, get the feel for what they want from me on the track and do everything to deliver it so to make the song truly theirs. It comes down to identity and I don't think Gaga's identity is reflected in a few songs on ARTPOP. And also, it was never stated Gaga was aware that the songs were originally made for someone else. It's assumed she knew, but what if she thought the songs were completely new? A producer should custom make music for the artist they are working for at the time, not bring music from the past in made for someone else, that's what makes something sound dated. It's just my opinion, you should respect our opinion just as we respect yours, we're all entitled to your opinions, some of us want Lady Gaga having completely new material while others don't, that's fine, our opinions.
