Giorgio Moroder is a great producer but what if he doesn't give it his all?

Well during the ARTPOP era I was really excited for Zedd and Madeon and I loved the Clarity album Zedd produced and I was just so here for them as producers. I was even willing to give DJ Whit Shadow another chance because I was optimistic about ARTPOP. 

Also the conclusions being drawn were that Gaga brings out the best in her producers, and it was true up until ARTPOP. I really felt like Zedd and Madeon underperformed as producers. This isn't an ARTPOP bashing thread because it's arguably my favorite album but I know Zedd and Madeon were capable of a lot more so I don't want the same to happen with Giorgio Moroder. 

This is my opinion though, some of you may disagree. I have a feeling that Giorgio will deliver but is anyone else weary? Actually the idea of Redone and Moroder co-producing a song sounds hot af.

Totally agree about ARTPOP.

Giorgio's really hit or miss to me, he always has been. I'd say that Gaga will bring the best out of him but yeah, like you said, that's not always what happens.

I don't think Zedd is capable of that much more tbqh. All of his music sounds the same.

​I agree with this also. You could say it's just his style which is why it all his songs sound like that and that's actually what I thought was cool about him at first but at this point, it's all just repetitive. 

But even still, imo, I feel as if his work with other popstars is better then with Gaga like Break Free was cool and I Want You To Know is decent. Yes, they're all basic, but the production was actually kinda good.

​Yea, so far for me, I've liked all his stuff. I first heard about him when he remixed I Can't Give You Anything But Love and fell in love and every other song I heard ft him was awesome for me but I kinda felt the same way about Zedd. I feel like his collabs with other artists are better then they were with Gaga. I'm sure Giorgio will deliver but there's a chance he might not as well.

GUY has the best production in Zedd's career.

Break free, for exemple, is dull, bland, generic and pathetic and it smashed because of all those reasons + Ariana. 

But GUY and MJH are Z and M best works imho.

I feel you... Gypsy is good but not a very special song (in my opinion). I love the lyrics but that's it. I don't know why a lot of fan thinks it'd have been a hit single (even though I really love his works). You may think I'm talking against myself but I still think they did a really good job on the album. MJH, Venus and G.U.Y. simply slays me

Well idk... Zedd did what he could, but it may be true the other things, I think that Giorgio its great, but if it turns out being like you said then I think Gaga wouldn't like it or think that it won't be good enough to be on the album and she wont add it so....

It is not the matter of giving their all.

Because I believe both Zedd and Madeon have given their all for ARTPOP.

But the owner of the album is Gaga, they have to discuss every single things with her and Gaga herself will likely changes a lot of things during recording process with her ideas and how she wanted a song to sound.

Not to mention they need to translate her ideas into music that might have been tough just to find the exact sounds she was seeking.

It is different when producing your own album, because they have the best freedom and they can channel their ideas best because it is in their head already, you got me?

 

 

As with Moroder, he is great because he always give his all over the years.

The matter how public will receive it is another subject because taste may vary.
