Even if she was anti racist activist - she doesn't need to comment on anything...

Simply, why would you expect her to do that?  Look up her occupation.  Her occupation is not on racial issues, thugs, and riots.

You know, it's not because you don't express publicly on an event or something that you don't have an opinion about it ! I mean she is not blind or deaf so she necessarily knows what is happening in her country. That's it :)

There is so much ambiguity regarding the whole situation. I don't think she should go out and state her personal beliefs, but i wish she would send messages of love/kindness/hope to anyone affected in the wake of this mess

Gaga + Tony = C2C = Jazz | Jazz = Musical genre with its roots in black slave culture. Mostly influenced by black musicians. Mostly done by black people. So Gaga has spoken.

Cheek To Cheek ha impact.

she focuses more on gay rights and youth empowerment rather than race, but clearly stands for human equality of all kinds.

To weak? Are you kidding me? She's a popstar first and an activist 2nd.
Trans issues are close enough to gay issues that she can speak out about them. She was even accused of being trans during the fame era.

Yes, I feel that those excuses for why she wouldn't tweet about it are weak and I doubt are the actual reason for why she hasn't said anything. Like I said before, she doesn't have an obligation to do anything she doesn't want to do, but to say she isn't doing it because she is to focused on gay issues and trans issues (which no do not direct affect her day to day existence) or because she's to busy i feel trivializes the importance of black issues and also sells her quite short. I hardly doubt she's sitting there watching all these black people die and going "eh, not my job" or "I just don't care". It's one thing for her to not feel its her place to speak but I doubt she's just apathetic to the whole situation.

she handles the gays and transgender. ask beyonce

This has got to be the most racist, ignorant, comment I've seen...pathetic..and I'm surprised by this as well since Gaga supports Human Rights as a whole.

How come no one ever mentions Andy Lopez when talking about police brutality and racial issues anymore? Its like he's been completely forgotten. Do Latino lives not matter? What about everyone else? :awkney:

I know right? Or like that asian man that got beaten to death in midwest. I always felt like the latino and asian attacks were always pushed aside which is unfair but ehhh whatever. Anyway I already posted in this thread but gaga is not mandated to tweet about it. Even if she tweets something positive about it, she is still playing with fire and people are going to twist her words around so its best she keeps silent.

As she has said a couple of times, Gaga has educated herself in LGBT issues. That's why she's so vocal when talking about those topics.

Racism is arguably a more complex social problem, and many don't even seem to grasp the concept. I think Gaga is just being careful in not saying things that she might not know much about, specially as a public figure.

Wtf you make no sense. IM BLACK nor am I racist. I never said YOU were racist I said the COMMENT YOU made was racist. All I'm saying is to think about what you say before you say it. But then again it's the Internet where you can hide behind a screen and say what you want but wouldn't say things like that in public...:bye:

Maybe she realises how severe it is and decided it was in her best interest not to comment in fear of a controversial backlash.
