Why hasn't Gaga commented on any of the race related issues in america recently?

She doesn't have to, again just wondering why she hasn't. Police brutality is a crisis that's happening in the US and the african american community are the majority of the victims of this brutality. Since August 2014, over 800 people have been killed by US police officials.

She just doesn't want to... it isn't that hard. She doesn't need a reason to do / not to do a thing. Like how everyone feels not doing something , the same is for her , that she doesn't feel like talking about this issue or any other things. Maybe she doesn't follow news anymore. I , for one , stopped following news since the only things I saw or hear were mostly murders and other tragedies... and I got tired of keep hearing them so I simply stopped watching / listening news. I guess she might've did the same thing.

Perhaps so, I just thought she would have something to say on the matter as it's not a minor incident, her revolutionary potential could be used to encourage peace in this time of uproar, and questioning policing laws that clearly work against the black community. This isn't something that's happening across the world and out of her sight, it's something that's happening on her home turf.

because she doesn't want someone to use her words out of context and use them against her. if I were here, I wouldn't say anything either. She's trying to recover her GP popularity and commenting on something like this could knock her off of the pedestal she's been creating

I guess she doesn't want to be involved in that political department or another possibility would be that she doesn't want to face any controversies.

one side of me thinks that she's under no obligation to say anything but the other side of me thinks that she's a hypocrite because she considers herself to be an equal rights activist.

And your honest 'opinion' is to leave blacks to deal with black issues?

Their original comment does have a point, though. Gaga's main audience consists of members of the LGBT community (mainly), one could say that she wouldn't have much from tweeting about something that she doesn't care for as much as she does for equality regardless of who you love.

Sure, that's a little rational and I am sure that Gaga is against police brutality and white supremacy, but I feel like she doesn't want to get involved in a topic she doesn't know much about. I am probably reading too much into her silence for black people, but yeah, that's how I would interpret it.

Edit: I think that she's trying to distance herself from any political action (be it a speech or "just" a tweet). She's been silent about almost everything.

honestly i hate these kind of posts. gaga isn't a spokesperson. she can't say something for every world event. and what would she post that would satisfy you? all it would say is "my heart goes out to those in baltimore. put your paws up" like what else do you wnat? she can't do anything.... she has her own life and dealings to deal with and shes busy. plus maybe she doesnt agree with something and would rather not say a word in order to cause controversy. every one knows whats going on. Lady gaga tweeting something wont really change anything. they're not gonna stop the riots cause gaga had some uplifting words to say.

Yes its true that she doesn't have to mention anything about it, but to make the excuses thats she to busy with other stuff or that there is too much going on to make a tweet is kind of weak imo. However I understand why she wouldn't feel its her place (It not an issue that direct effects her personally), but as someone who speaks out on a host of other issues regarding the lack of equality for gay and trans people, you'd think she would have said something. Trans issues don't directly effect her either but she still speaks out. There is so much in the media about everything going on and its not like its a small problem.

I also cant level with people saying that if she tweeted it really wouldn't do anything. She's a internationally famous white cisgender woman  speaking out in support of black issues and acting as an ally. I think would be greatly beneficial. A tweet may seem trivial but support is support, it helps, especially if its coming from Lady Gaga.

To weak? Are you kidding me? She's a popstar first and an activist 2nd.

Trans issues are close enough to gay issues that she can speak out about them. She was even accused of being trans during the fame era.

i was expecting this from you tbh :toofunny: if she considers one , that's one thing... that doesn't mean she has the obligation to talk about every single issue... Not even your fave Madonna is talking about every single issue so don't try it with "hypocrisy"...She has her own ****ing life too... It's not like people who are helping her give any ****s about her (even her fans don't , but other people ...)

but instead of being always negative , you can try to help by spreading on every social media where you have an account a message about awareness of this issue (or others)

Tweets will help, shedding light on a serious issue will bring attention to the fact that this issue is one that needs to be openly discussed.

After Ferguson....EVERYONE is talking about this. Lady Gaga sending out a tweet isn't going to shed MORE light on this. The issue is already engulfed the US (well it might as well have, it's all I hear about). Hell, people like Kendrick Lamar are releasing LP's that deal with this issue. Gaga doesn't always have to be the one voicing her opinion. I'm glad she's kept quiet about this issue. She has her things that she tweets about and I respect her for keeping involved in issues she really cares about and keeping to herself in this case.

Why do fans think that she has to speak about EVERY issue that is happening in the world? She is NOT Mother Teresa, nor the president ffs! She makes music and she speaks for the lgbqt community because she wants to. Yall are expecting her to have a press conference about everything. We should be glad she even talks about the lgbqt community. If she wants to, she could be like other singers that do nothing other than focusing on their music. :awkney:

That's cool, i don't see how expressing my opinion was negative though. Adding Madonna to the discussion won't stimulate me. :smh:
