WOW! Jay-z's gonna need one of Beyoncé's lace fronts, cuz that's was an actual scalping...:sharon:

HOWEVER:

My question is: Will there be further removals from youtube, twisting the publics arm more and more? Or will they not even really notice Madonna, Rih or Nicki's catalogs being removed? As most people have their favorite music downloaded already...

^^ A comment from ATRL which is pretty relevant here tbh

Ppl will notice, specially if we're talking about videos...but I don't think they'll do that, because it would look SO BAD for them, it would make they look greedy and as if they didn't give a **** about their fans...I don't think that's what's going to happen, but, if that's really the plan, it's going to be a **** storm for tidal owners...

ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.

Rihanna is the first victim of Tidal... She really should stop promoting her new things on that sh*t...

Rihanna's career is endanger. Rih better stay away from that tidal wave disaster. :neyde:

I think it's funny how she's put all of her new material, including the "Tidal Exclusive," on Spotify because it was flopping...I honestly think they would've done better if she had put them on Spotify to begin with instead of waiting weeks after the Tidal thing happened. Isn't she like one of the most streamed artists on Spotify?

Didn't know about this WiMP thing. That makes it even worse. Yeah, it was only a short while ago that it was announced Tidal had got roughly 200k subscribers, so how it jumped from this to 770k in just a week or so just doesn't add up. And yes, once this month free trial is up, the majority of those will leave, no doubt. Tidal couldn't be more uncool or unappealing at this point. How this could be projected to be a success despite only having a small selection of artists from 2 genres available is baffling. There's no point getting a subscription as there's nowhere near enough artists on the site to entertain the average person to justify paying so much a month. Spotify took off because it seemed to have every artist from every genre on it. You were spoilt for choice, therefore justifying a paid subscription. But even if you didn't want to pay, you'd still sign up as a free member. As Tidal is paid subscription only, you don't even have the option of still hanging around the site if you don't want to pay. No free option? People will seek one out. That's just how it works.

I see no reason why she couldn't have kept her music on BOTH sites. Same for everyone else on Tidal. If they want more money, it stands to reason to put the music on both and get double the profits (ok, not double, as Spotify doesn't pay the same royalties as Tidal, but you know what I mean). I believe that's what Gaga did. But everyone else was either too stubborn or Jay had told them they had to choose one site and it was all or nothing. Sheepishly putting it back on Spotify later makes you look like you're admitting you were wrong and were foolish for thinking the grass was greener on the other side. At least by keeping it on both sites, you could say you were just testing the waters and can still keep your dignity if the new project fails. Seems like Gaga was the only one with the good business sense to do that.

Why didn't he just release the statement in a press release :smh: Doing it in form of a series of tweets, just made it seem like he was having a meltdown, even if he probably wasn't

Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn

So glad Kylie got away from Roc Nation.

they were so busy sinking money into this project they didn't promote KMO as well as they could've, I firmly believe that
