Pure Adrenaline 1,518 Posted April 25, 2015 Share Posted April 25, 2015 In The Wrap's original report on the shortlist to play Spider-Man in Marvel's Captain America: Civil War, they noted that there were other younger actors also in the running besides Nat Wolff, Asa Butterfield, Tom Holland, Timothee Chalamet and Liam James. Given Marvel's history (Captain America, Star-Lord, etc.) of having an extensive shortlist during casting and then ultimately picking someone NOT on that list, The Wrap wisely gave themselves some wiggle room. Could the same thing play out with Spider-Man? Fans have noticed that Billy Unger (19), star of Disney XD's Lab Rats, attended the Avengers: Age of Ultron and inexplicably used the hashtag #SpiderMan. This was days before The Wrap broke their story.
