Im pretty sure Bruce knew he wanted to transition before because he used to always dress up in drag alot.

but poor bruce went and had kids & now they're stuck  in this mess of dealing with his transition in the public eye.

Except that a lot of trans people are in utter denial of their idendity and try to play up the stereotypes of their assigned gender in the hope that one day they could be "normal" like everybody else. Comments like yours among the reasons that 25% of all trans women in America don't even make it past age 25 because they're either murdered or commit suicide.

I agree with her, but not the reasons behind her point. I do agree that he is a fame ***** because why create such a media spectacle over his decision? Why do an exclusive interview and then a reality tv series? Why not just come out and team up with lgbqt communities to help others that are going through what he went through if he wants media coverage? The whole Kardashian Klan disappoints me.

1. Jenner did not create a media spectacle - Jenner agreed to do ONE interview.
2. Why a TV series? Because as a public figure he is only the second openly transgender person to show their journey to find THEIR truth, and is the first male to female transition the world has seen from a celebrity. This will save SO many lives in the long run and you know it
3. When you've been part of a BRAND manufactured by Kris Kardashian, one that is so polarizing that ALL of your achievements as an OLYMPIAN has been routinely undermined, do you honestly think you can go ANYWHERE outside of your own home and 'just be yourself'? If you were Jenner, how do you suspect your car ride to the LGBT center is gonna go, without publicly acknolwedging and sharing your truth the way that is right for you?

I love her on one hand.... and she pisses me right off on the other! She is such a conundrum.

I think her views on the path to becoming transgender are antiquated at best. She also said that Bruce should be looking after his mess of a daughter Kylie and not doing the transition, that he is selfish. Sure, Kylie might be a mess and needs looking after better, but how can she tell someone to hold off transitioning if that's what they feel they must go through right now? If that's what they really feel inside, and have to bottle that up for just a while longer for something or other? Oftentimes having to hide/hold that kind of thing in is actually worse for the people in one's life. She acts like he is just making some flip decision about something. And she acts like he can't look after Kylie while transitioning, or hasn't tried.

Honestly, Wendy Williams is such a frustrating person.

Wendy has been a Trending Topic on Twitter for hours and hours now, just below Bruce. I hope she receives the huge backlash she deserves. I've watched her show before. I'm not a fan, but it is what it is. She's there because there's an audience for a woman sitting in a chair, shading and stating her opinions on celebrities. It is simply a result of our celebrity obsessed culture we live in. So I have never felt the need to "come for her" when she was talking her mess about celebrities before. It's usually lies, rumours or twisted stories anyway. But this, this is different. This is downright disgusting and insulting.

If a white woman sat up there and made any kind of racist remark, she'd be fired or at least suspended by the network she was on. So why is Wendy still up there, despite being plain out transphobic? "Belinda"? Are you effin kidding me? Who does she think she is? Her show needs to be taken off the air. She built her career talking about other people, and that's fine. She spreads lies and rumours about celebrities and I don't endorse that, but it's always been there anyway. The problem with this one is that she's crossed a mark. She's been somewhat homophobic here and there, but she's always stated she's all for gay rights and equality, so it's excusable to a certain degree. But now, there's nothing left to say.

You just showed an intrusive picture of a person who's transitioning, showed a dumb audience member shaking her head in disgust and called Bruce "Belinda". Then you proceeded to talk about him like he is a bad father because of his transition.

He's not a bad parent in my opinion. And even if he was, what does that have to do with anything? Can't he be a parent and a transgendered person? Kylie Jenner is 17, and yes, that's incredibly young. She's supposedly dating a 25 year old rapper who has a small child. Is that an ideal situation? No. But she's 17, she's not 15 or 13. In a couple of weeks she'll be 18 and no one will have a legal say about her anymore anyway. She's an adolescent, finding her way in life and even if it's not the best thing for her to be dating a 25 year old rapper, it's still her mistake to make and learn from for the future. And who knows? He might be the love of her life, they might end up living happily ever after. It is not something Bruce, Kris, Kim, Khloé, Kendal or anyone can control. She's chosen to be with someone and to look a certain way. It's no one else's decision but hers. Would you rather have them telling her to not be with someone she likes or loves? Because yeah, screw logic, it's much healthier to ignore your feelings and bend under the pressure of society to do something you don't want to do, just so society can be happy, right? And that's exactly what Bruce did for years in my opinion. He has ALWAYS felt like this, he was scared beyond believe to come out. Now 65, I'm sure he realised it was now or never, plus his children are all adults now. So what should he be waiting for?

Wendy has been trying to pop off as a comedian lately, but she isn't, so please don't give me the Joan Rivers excuse. Joan Rivers was a COMEDIAN from the start. She laughed with everything, and the first thing she joked about in any kind of skit or show was herself. Joan made comments about Bruce, and she was on thin ice there. But she always stayed clear that it was COMEDY, and not an actual opinion. Kris Jenner even attended Joan's funeral, they were good friends. The difference is that when you're just being Wendy Williams, sitting in a chair and giving your opinion, you are damn wrong for being transphobic and calling him "Belinda". But when Joan Rivers did it on a stage, as a comedy ACT, it wasn't an opinion, it was a real joke. So there is the line, for someone in this thread comparing Wendy to Joan. No. Call me when Wendy jokes about all races, all beliefs and religious views and most importantly, herself. 

Wendy Williams is a disgusting mess for this one.
How dare she?! Ban her show! And I hope her gay stylists and make-up artist quit. 

EDIT: Forgot to add that I'm using the male pre-nouns for now, as requested to the media by ABC. Diane Sawyer made sure to check with Bruce, and it was fine for now. He'll publicly come forward as a woman in the future, and I'll be sure to use the female pro-nouns then. By the way, very brave interview and public statement by Bruce. Got my support 100%. Hope he goes down in history as the great Olympian athlete he was, and the historic trans-woman he is now. Love him.
