I think Only Girl and Skin are dope, Whats My Name and S&M have been played out to the point that they ****ing suck, everything else on that record is just whatever filler.Rated R and Unapologetic >>>I liked Loud, but I agree that I thought Rated R and Unapologetic were much better. This interlude is nice. I'm glad she's making an album she really wants to make and is trying to go a bit outside her comfort zone. I'm sad it's not doing well. If the album flops I imagine the label will push harder to make sure she goes back to the old formula, which I'm sure many of the fans will like but it sucks for the artist if it's not what they want to do. I get that fans are the consumers and support the artist monetarily and some promotionally, but I think an artist should be allowed to put out at least one album doing exactly what they want, even if everyone else thinks it's ****. Otherwise, what's the point of being in the business (other than fame and money, which shouldn't really be a motivation to begin with). An artist should be allowed to experiment with their art form and push their boundaries. Who knows? They could surprise themselves and others. Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. blacklistedd 599 Posted April 21, 2015 Share Posted April 21, 2015 To be quite honest, aside from the fact that Four Five Seconds sucks (imo), I feel like the only reason this era has given the impression of underperformance is because she doesn't have Spotify streams to amp her up. Thats where she excels, is streaming. Without Spotify its like....Had American Oxygen and BBHMM been on Spotify this entire time I think there'd be a drastic ****ing difference in chart performance.
