I'm not denying women don't still have to put up with s-xism but you don't see them being stoned to death or being treated like second class citizens as harshly as LGBT in America...Madge is just headline hunting. Nothing new here.As far as i know she said Gay rights are more advanced, she didn't say they're no longer an issue as she was still passionately speaking in support of the LGBT community early in 2013.However, i still don't agree with that statement & I don't think Madonna herself believes it. Nothing new here.I don't agree with that statement of hers (mainly because ranking a group based on their perceived suffering is stupid - solve the problems instead of invalidating others' problems) but it's not true that women don't suffer extreme persecution in the same countries which mandate 'stoning to death' for homos-xuality. In Saudi Arabia; in law at least - adultery is punished by stoning according to the Quran. (The only thing stopping it happening so regularly is the burden of proof; but that's not to say they don't suffer). I agree that she's headline hunting though and unless she has something useful to say as in American Life; she should really just stop embarrassing herself.
