I'm optimistic too when it comes to the possible sound and overall music of the next album, and not only because she has experienced a lot since the BTW tour cancellation, but also most importantly, because of her track record of delivering good to great albums which I strongly enjoy listening to. I mean, I haven't heard a really bad album from Gaga since her debut for me to not be optimistic with the succeeding records from her.

And as the OP stated, the more there's no reason to not to be optimistic is the fact that Gaga has grown as a vocalist, a songwriter, a record producer, and as a person through the years thanks to all the experiences she had and continues to have since BTW. The more experienced one becomes, the more opportunity to get and be better.

The OP is not talking about the possible commercial and critical reception for the next album, so I don't understand the concern that she might "pull an ARTPOP 2.0". Unless you're not a fan of ARTPOP musically or you find it not as strong or as good as her previous releases, and not because of any other aspect related to the project like how it was promoted or how it was received by the critics and the public. If that's the case, I'd completely understand what you've posted since it's your musical preference and there's nothing wrong with it.

Commercial and critical reception, however, do not always reflect the music itself, or vice versa, nor the quality of the music, which is entirely subjective, serves as the absolute guarantee for the commercial success of an album or an artist (i.e. a 'bad' album may sell greatly with a great marketing campaign, and a 'great' album may sell badly with bad marketing).

I'm scared that she will take the backlash she received for ARTPOP from critics and fans as if the music was bad when it was actually her best. I'm scared she will try too hard this time around.

​I second this. I feel as though that whole wave of backlash from so called 'critics' will really haunt her for the next one or two album cycles.

However I am excited for the next release, because she never disappoints. And I need new promo appearances cause I miss her face being everywhere.

I'm not nervous for commercial success, because truly, we've been through to the worst. Charts don't even matter anymore.

I'm more anxious and hopeful that she'll be herself, genuine Lady Gaga, while also progressing and maturing musically. 

Sure, I'd love Poker Face 4.0 birthing from her & RedOne's collaboration; but I honestly want something new. Something more raw, less electronic, more personality. Like Electric Chapel meets So Happy I Could Die.

With ARTPOP, she was creating an ode to immature music, with Cheek to Cheek she did the complete opposite doing classic covers - now I want her to find middle ground & pioneer a new sound wave in the music industry.

I'm getting a bit tired of turning on the radio & hearing the words "ass", "Bey" & "daddy" every three seconds.

I'm a bit concerned. I don't know what direction she'll go in. I don't want a rehashed TF or TFM, but I don't want it to be too different for the GP.
