It's never been done before, NEVER and no ones ever thought about it

Gaga has the potential of doing it for the very first time

India is a land with many dance styles

So, how would you feel if Gaga taps it's unreached potential

This may be one of the most innovative things ever and she could solidify her name as the harbringer of this form of art

Imagine swift and elegant dance movements

This is only a microscopic fraction of the dance styles the country has

So, how would you feel

PS: Do NOT turn this into a bashing thread

Every country has its own identity, so please refrain from insulting the country and her citizens

she would probably be accused of cultural appropriation since she's a white rich western woman

Indian style dance moves/music videos/dress wouldn't be cultural appropriation if she went with it. That's exactly what an homage would look like.

I think you're right.

It would be a bit strange if she did these moves, because she isn't from India (this doesn't mean that only Indian women can dance like this, but I think you all know what I mean).

everything is "cultural appropriation" these days

you gotta take a risk, or you're not gonna make history

do you think she's that dumb?

No but sometimes she does things that are unintentionally controversial like when she got called a racist for wearing a korean jacket in tokyo. Japan had a field day with that and told her "go back to america you ****ty white person".

Bette Davis

Im totally here for Indian inspired dance moves. They're fluid, rhythmic, s-xy.

People will yell 'appropriation' or 'exploitation' at her if she does it too literally. I think she might also get compared to Shakira, even though she is Lebanese and Columbian, not Indian.

Cold as ice cream, but still as sweet.
