Am the only one who doesn't 'feel' "The Fame" Anymore?

It's cute and all but her other albums are much more substantial.

Paparazzi is still one of her best songs tho.

I prefer her other albums but I still like it.

When it comes to some fans though I feel like they resent the fact that The Fame is her most critically and commercially accepted album with the general public so they either consciously or subconsciously get kind of defensive and are like "The Fame is weak".

I agree, I love it but it's my less favorite Gaga album

My rank is ARTPOP > The Fame Monster > Born This Way > The Fame

With time, I got to appreciate more the campiness of The Fame, I guess.

It was never my favorite but though it's my still favorite album of hers I still love it. I actually have a love hate relationship with the album. If half the album tracks were missing it would one of my favorites if not my favorite album of hers. It just has many album tracks that I consider fillers and I skip them.

If it was like:

1. Just Dance
2. LoveGame
3. Paparazzi
4. Poker Face
5. Beautiful, Dirty, Rich
6. The Fame
7. Paper Gangsta
8. Brown Eyes
9. I Like It Rough
10. Disco Heaven

11. Money Honey bonus

it would be PERFECT

All the rest are fillers to my ears.  Many of them do justice to the album thematically but musically they are dull, shallow and their lyrics aren't exciting either.

Well, 7 years and I still love and listen to The Fame. It's her 2nd best album (behind The Fame Monster) IMO. :legend:

I'd never actually listened to The Fame (except singles) until about a week ago when I decided to buy it on iTunes, and I've been obsessed with it since. I think it's because it's been out for a while, but for someone listening to it for the first time (like in my situation) in 2015, I found that most tracks had a lot to offer, even for today's standards. In my opinion, the production is a little bit low quality for some songs (Paper Gangsta...) but the tracks are mainly all really good.

After recently listening to The Fame, this would be my updated albums rating.

The Fame Monster > The Fame = ARTPOP > BTW > C2C

But what about the FLAWLESS Money Honey?! :pole:

The Fame is a superficial album. It's the type of album you play during the summer at a pool or in your car. It's not bad--just situational. I can't listen to it all the time but other times it's just such a tune.

The only song I could stand as a bonus track though I don't really enjoy it that much. Everything else is a big no for me.

I personally think that 'The Fame' gets even better with age. Such a modern classic and perfect debut album.

I still love Just Dance and Poker Face. Starstruck and Summerboy are great, too.

But yeah, it's definitely the album I've been listening to the least.
