GagaMyBlood95 9,833
that's so sad, does that mean Cheek to Cheek will have very low grossing... Well no not necessarily, because they still have around 30 dates of their own, If I'm correct. I mean we won't have like 50 million gross, but it will be a nice gross for a jazz theater tour, that's for sure
GagaMyBlood95 9,833
You know, now, when I come to think about it - their show is within the festival's program but it is scheduled in a separate venue and has a specific ticket price range (the most expensive of them all). So, who knows, we might see the gross.Hmm that's interesting, I didn't know that! Could be, we will have to wait and see..

StrawberryBlond 13,989
that's so sad, does that mean Cheek to Cheek will have very low grossing...So it may be, but remember that this all helps to promote the album to people who may have been unaware of it. These festivals will be full of people who have paid to see all different acts and may realise that they're liking something they didn't expect to. I gurantee C2C sales will increase in Europe amazingly after these festivals are done. I think this is far more profitable than doing headlining gigs in Europe for the fans alone. I'd much rather C2C sold millions of copies as opposed to millions in touring sales. This particular festival is in a very rich area in a very rich country and it's the second biggest jazz festival in the world. Just think about what that'll mean for sales. This will definitely help the sales of the next jazz release. It won't sell as well as C2C but all this festival promo will ensure it still sells well. That sounds like a very positive thing to happen. Well, if that's the case then I would encourage them to go for it!
