Does Gaga shout too much when she sings?

I agree that Gaga tends to shout too much, specially in that cover she did on the artrave, and all her performances of bang bang are unlistenable to me because of that. Luckily she doesn't do it very often though

I actually never had a problem when she screams or shout . I find it powerful , its what makes gaga unique than the other pop singers in the mainstream out there . Gaga is very raw and creative with her voice , she feels the music not sing a long with it . this what I love about gaga a lot tho

when she shouts to sound appropriate to the genre of music … cringe. otherwise, praise her courage.

I actually LOVE that but only when it's awesomely controlled.. In the 'You've got a friend' performance it's flawless.. In the 'what's up' performance it's a bit too much and it's sometimes out of tune. But yeah..She usually does it very well!

The "You've Got A Friend" performance isn't the best example of her shout singing. Its just the most recent so thats why I embedded it. I think she is just slightly too shouty at the end of that performance. There have been many other performances where she is more shouty.

Yeah but in the "You've got a friend" performance it just feels like powerful vocals,it's on the right key/note,it's controlled,it's emotional and it's not too much....I think that she couldn't have sang it better than that

I love it, don't think she's ever gone too far. Her What's Up cover is probably my favourite performance of hers, I was really upset when she didn't do it at the artrave I went to.

Slightly Blasphemous Thread.

It should be "Does Gaga Sing too much when she shouts?" :flower:

she is not shouting -_- you have obviously no vocal knowledge, she is belting, within her range and she is great at it, better than her contemporaries except Beyonce, it has nothing to do with shouting, i have no idea where did you get this from, shouting would damage her voice and sound much different and certainly would not be accompanied with vibrato, plus she is pretty effortless at this and sound amazing :kissga: for those who have no idea what is going on in this thread which seems to be all of you :kissga:

thanks. The onl time gaga really shouted is during Whats up cover and final artrave's donatellas' chorus.
