It shows that side of her when she would perform in underground bars and what not... It's who she is. Her 'shouting' is emotionally relevant, gives the song a vocal dynamic that conveys the emotion of the song in a way that wishy-washy "pleasant" singing does not do.Beyonce, however... now there's someone who loves to shout. And not in a "I love Tina Turner and want to emulate her" kinda way, in a "if I don't yell people will mistake my act for something basic" kinda way.
