Her most recent album, a self-titled fifth studio set, was released in 2013, but its proper follow-up will likely have to wait for her first holiday collection. "I've always wanted to make a Christmas album, but I've never had the time," she says. "But now it's like, 'You know what, just do it!' Every time I'm sitting in front of the fireplace with my family, sipping on peppermint schnapps and hot chocolate, I'm just always thinking to myself ”jeeze, I really wish Avril was screaming 'grandma got run over by a reindeer' in the background right now.” Cold as ice cream, but still as sweet.
