I think you are talking about The Fame Monster here! 78% Metacritic score + 8.1 million WW sales!

The Fame Monster sold like 5m.

Either way, I just want the album to be good.

Seeing as what sells a lot these days, I think imma stick to Critical acclaim. :awkney:

My faves can barely sell but their albums slay. Like, FROOT, is amazing. The metacritic score is amazing too. But sales aren't great.

Why not both?  Critical acclaim is probably better.  I mean someone like Gaga should be considering well produced music rather than the sales.  However, both can coincide within each other depending on how you look at like.  It's very subjective to the viewer.

Both. :whitney:

ugh why not BOTH :gaycat:

I don't think you guys understand. The question is about which is more important to you. Not if you'd like both, then would you take both? :laughga:

Tbh FROOT's sales are A M A Z I N G for Marina's popularity and for the 0 promo the album got..Just think that girls like Charli or Jessie J. debuted with a lot lower sales and both had hit singles :sharon:

Commercial Success

Critical reception is irrelevant, if you are selling the GP loves you and that is what matters not some snotty critics's point of view who is just 1 person. Also, if you are successful all the critics will start kissing up to you, look at Lana Del Rey

Holly crap. I had always thought that Born This Way had a better score than The Fame Monster :toofunga:

I understood, it's just that I can't pick one. I'm the worst at making choices. :emma: Ok, I'll go with critical acclaim. :whitney:

As long as I enjoy the album, it doesn't matter to me :ohwell:

Lose control. Let go and fall. Do you get the satisfaction?

Well I'd rather have acclaim, but to an artiste like Gaga who's artistry relies on big productions and theatrics which cost money, she could do with some commercial success too, lbr :ohwell:

Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn

It had sold 5.8 million copies WW by the end of 2010. It's sales must've increased by now.
