Gaga fans talking about what Madonna has to do to reinvent herlself and be successful again... isn't it ironic in many ways? :rip:

After studying music and marketing all my life, it's shocking that Madonna hasn't turned her biggest weakness into her biggest asset. I guess it's because she is scared of it.

Her next album needs to begin where Ray of light began. She needs to go a little gothic... or more.

She should market herself as the evil queen. Ham it up and adopt the persona. Create a thematic album about killing off little princesses and leaving them in her wake. Her biggest trait is that she's a nasty, bitter old witch... so own it. Her weakness IS people trying to dethrone her... so drag the **** out of them. Don't collaborate with Miley or work with Katy, mock them in music videos and drag them with lyrics. Become the spiteful, nasty, wicked witch that the public thinks you are.

It'd be like when Elsa finally transforms her dour dress into the frozen dress, when scar has his song in lion king, her huge evil b---h moment that gays love and tabloids adore.

This is easily manufactured, she wouldn't really need to change much.

That sounds like most people in 1984, 1989, 1992, 2003... Good thing she never listened to them and she won't listen to you... But I gotta admit you've come a long way, your gifts slay! :lolly:

Thank you. I have more gifs

She needs to make good legendary music instead of failing at making chart topping songs.

Just to be clear, Rebel Heart is one of my least favorites by her.

Maybe the leak didn't have a large impact on the music sales, but it most definitely had one on the music's quality, Living For Love was supposed to be released in March of 2015, the entire album was leaked in November of 2014.

Madonna herself stated that she released an unfinished product, there's no doubt some behind the scene chaos was caused after the leak occurred which resulted in her rushing the entire process.

You just claimed that if she indeed releases good music again she will be met with commercial success, so that possiblity is always there.

So in an indirect way, the leak did have an effect on her commercial performance.

You don't have to agree with me, but at least i offered a very valid perspective.

Confessions was really her last masterpiece, Hard Candy & MDNA were decent for the time being, but they just lacked in so many ways.

The demo that was leaked differs greatly from the version that was officially released and quite honestly I think the demo was superior. So id rather her have released the supposed "unfinished" version because imo it was of better quality musically than what she actually released. Sure it could've used a production polish, but the house groove of it was better than the electro dropper that was sent to radio.

At the end of the day, its not about her rush releasing music because what was there wasn't that great anyway. Give her another month and it would've been the same thing with I guess slightly more polish? That doesn't say much to me. I think the music on the album was pretty lackluster from the bland midtempos Ghosttown, Hold Tight, and Joan of Arc to the ridiculous contemporary wannabes like Iconic, Body Shop, Holy Water, and SEX. The album overall was clearly more thoughtful than MDNA, something that hasn't gone unrecognized. And I think it did a better job of trying to cater to contemporary sounds while remaining Madonna than Hard Candy did, again not saying much, but it is to me a subpar release and I say that as a fan which sounds incredibly cliche and unbelievable considering where we're having this conversation (a Gaga forum) but idk. I sound harsh just because im so tired of seeing everyone kiss her ass on here solely because she is Madonna or because they want to combat the little monster hates madonna stereotypes that plague this forum or gaga fans. In case it comes up in your retort, I dont care to see people kiss Gagas ass either but at least on this gaga forum its the appropriate place to lol I dont ever see you coddle her the way you coddle madonna for making a lame album lol

It's not about her age, For Example, Cher released "Believe" at 52 years old and it was a success. but Cher did not act like a 20 year old girl. and that's my problem with the 2015 Madonna. her behavior is not appropriate instead Cher act like a 70 year old person and it works she is successful and respected

People seem to forget that she has a 33 years career and she only starts now to get lower album numbers. Yes Rebel Heart under performs compared to her other works, but she still able to sell half a million of copies in 3 weeks and be #1 in over 15 countries. Name me one artist in its 50's and a 30+ years career that can sell this amount of copies and get a #1 album over the world especially in the pop industry. You can all try to say it's a flop, yes it is if you compare with other artists, but if you take in consideration her background it's far from a flop. She has the ultimate dream career, 30 years of high success, it's never seen all artists combined.

barbra streisand, cher, diana ross, tony bennet, ella fitzgerald, etc

I love how you start with "it's not about her age", but then you go on and explain it's because she doesn't act her age, so it's about her age. What kind of a reverse warholian expedition :green:

Cher's never had a number one album in the US and out of 25 albums; only two of them have ever went platinum as far as I know. Tony Bennet has never had a solo number one album either; so they've both had their fair share of "flops" too - neither have amassed the total success that Madonna has. Barbra Streisand's success is amazing though from what I can see

Cher doesn't act like a 70 year old person tho, you make no sense as usual

And you're making it about her age like darkwold said already :lmao:
