Maybe that was the only flight she could get out (all the private or luxury planes were taken)? Maybe she wanted to mingle with the "common" folks (her fans). Or maybe she just wanted to conserve energy. Just because someone is mega rich, they probably still don't mind saving a few bucks. + These are not Economy. Her next album is probably about regular life and people with real problems (she's leaving the ARTPOP concept which was all about the artist and problems artist have - not understandable for ordinary people), and it's obvious she's going for more organic sound. The only way to get the concept is go out and be like regular people, she's breaking the boundaries of pop stars.
