What does '' most powerful person in pop '' even mean. These lists are annoying.

This is a UK list, so it makes some sense, taking that into consideration. That's the only reason Calvin Harris, Adele, Hozier and George Ezra's there (though I still think they're all too high). The overall list is ok, though, but the actual rankings are way out of wack. Ariana Grande and Maroon 5 should not be in the top ten. They were not that big at all in the UK last year. Problem only went to #1 because it was on pre-order for 2 months, she didn't have any follow-up hits or a big selling album and she's only had a handful of UK arena dates with no demand for extra shows. Maroon 5 had no #1's even with a pre-order and an XF performance, nor did they have a big album or large demand for a tour either. Meghan Trainor barely deserves to be top 10 either. Honestly, Gaga's artRave alone kicks all of their asses, yet she's nowhere near top 10. Let's face it: touring is the way to make money from music these days and Gaga is still a touring force, unlike these three. An artist's touring power needs to be taken into way bigger consideration on this list.

It makes me want to puke at how much the UK still kisses Adele's behind. She did NOTHING in 2014 or anything this year. Not so much as a sponsorship deal or an interview. She made hints about dropping an album but never did. I guess all the money she earned in royalities despite not doing anything counts for something, but #16 above artists who actually did things last year is ridiculous.
