Even though Taylor Swift has officially gone pop, she still has a special place with the Academy of Country Music, which will be giving her and superstars like Kenny Chesney, George Strait, Miranda Lambert and Garth Brooks a special honor at next month's ACM Awards.

The Academy is handing out a 50th Anniversary Milestone Award to celebrate seven of their biggest winners, also including Reba McEntire and Brooks & Dunn. The honorees will be given a trophy specially designed by jeweler David Yurman, complete with black diamonds, sterling silver and white gold.

The Milestone Awards will be presented April 19 at the 50th annual ACMs, to be held at AT&T Stadium outside of Dallas and broadcast live on CBS.

Wait is she getting a country award for all of her work together or only 1989 :air:

Oh I think it's her whole career isn't it?

Well deserved. She's been the top face of country music since Reba McEntire. And for her to be recognized alongside these country music legends at a young age is a huge accomplishment. It's crazy to think that in about five years' time, she'd outsell Reba (and Shania Twain) in Nielsen Music-reported album sales and finally become the top-selling female artist who released country music in history.

That's amazing, and a big congratulations to her :applause: I'm not sure if I'm correct but I think she helped the wave of country-inspired pop music reach our ears, and I'm sure her music before 1989 helped open some people's eyes to country, so I'm sure she's done a lot for the industry in that aspect
