Umm no not really. She's discussed a lot of the time. For good and for bad reasons. And most peoplle I know don't stan for Gaga but know the words to Applause's chorus and know the "G-U-Y'N part from G.U.Y.

SAhe's in a jazz era so of course she isn't getting as much exposure as she would during a pop era. But she's still talked about A LOT. When the oscar performance thing happened, she was everywhere on Google. And the performance generated so many views that night on Facebook. Not all of those are from us.

Remember the amount of likes her wedding ring got? Yeah.

She isnt doing nearly as bad as delusional fans think.

Flawless post, I ran out of likes for today. :applause:

I'd rather not have her being blasted everywhere.  Like she wants to make experimental music. She's said that before. The only way she can do that is if she ditches interscope.  I need more venus type songs and less applause. Give me that thing that I love (songs that aren't just catchy beats and stuttered lyrics)

Shes discussed moreso now than she was in 2012. I think shes back into public consciousness for the time being. Shes definitely not on the radio much anymore, thats about it.

Honey this was last night in Barcelona, Applause still slaying two years on https://instagram.com/p/0hWptylkTC/

A cult artist doesn't get in the news every other day, doesn't have hits and doesn't steal the show at the Oscars. Gaga is still very talked about (here in Spain she is, I hear her name and her songs on the radio all the time), her last hit was in early 2014 (Do What U Want), she just won a Grammy and stole the show at the Oscars.

Her being a niche artist is what her haters have been saying since late 2010.

Yeah if she really wanted to be experimental right now I doubt she would recruited REDONE as executive producer for the next album just sayinnnn

Gaga is already cemented in history, not just pop history. She is very underrated for her efforts at times and I blame that on people who perceive her in a negative light, which is plenty of people

She will make her comeback probably in LG5 or LG6. LG5 will probably be that huge comeback ARTPOP should have been but I feel that a lot of the reasons LG4 flopped was because Troy wasn't there to promote Gaga and use payola. Don't think Gaga's management isn't guilty of using payola. You have to start somewhere and it's just that some artists overdo the practice which has become somewhat commonplace in the music industry :thetea:

Just saying :thetea:

not at all, I think. The Grammys presence and the hype around the Oscars prove it.

And how do we know what the music will sound like? Did we really expect gaga to make a song like cake? Or dope? What if the next single sounds like a nirvana song? We don't know what she's making so stop pretending like you know what the music will sound like

I am sure that she will be "irrelevant" in 10 years and only us, her monsters will care for her by that point. But for now....I think she is going to try to come back HARD with the next era. I hope she succeeds. Of course she is going to fade eventually, but who doesn't.

the real question is why is it considered "wrong" if she isn't appealing to the mainstream?

I remember the days when you'd still hear Gaga's music playing in straight clubs. I remember the days when we'd discuss Gaga's videos in art class. Nowadays I'll only hear people discuss Gaga in here and I never hear people listening to her music in real life.

Has Gaga gone from appealing to mostly everyone to only appealing to her cult: the "Little Monsters"? If so, where do you think she went wrong?

Did you miss the hundreds of articles after The Sound of Music tribute? How about all the articles and media over her being on AHS? Did you miss seeing the Grammys this year? Did you catch The Stevie Wonder tribute? Did you see all the press when she simply jumped in an icy lake?

First off, Gaga isn't in an active Pop era right now, but her BB #1 Jazz album did receive plenty of attention, did well in sales, garnered a Grammy and is soon to have a successful tour.

When she comes back to PopMusic in 2016, you will start hearing her current songs again on the radio. For now, you can still hear her songs played on the radio from time to time, like all older songs.

I think she will still be relevant, perhaps on a show like American Idol or The Voice.
