I see their point tho ....

they wanna catch all those teens that are fan girling over those twink boy bands and ex-disney/nickelodeon stars, besides why would they play something that there is not interest for :proud:

I mean...not to sound too rude but they are kinda right and kinda not - right because they are making room for new/other artists and not right for snubbing her completely they shouldnt ban her like totally just partially - less spins thats it

Im not a Madonna fan but I still find this so bad
It's like saying that radio wont play Gaga in the future due her fans being around the same age as her-_-

what's next?

She's going to complain that they're not playing her on rock radio?

A radio has the right to play a certain performer to cater to their audience.

That didn't make any sense :awkney:

Madonna isn't rock :awkney:

I just googled him, and he is 40. ..... so old! Maybe they should start by firing him, if they want to bring the average age of the listener down? :teehee:

Radio stations in the UK are rubbish, no one listens to them anymore anyway

:lmao: The innacuracy

Radio in the UK is extremely important for an artist.

If an artist fails to get playlisted by Radio 1 and Capital FM they can pretty much guarantee they will be kissing their success goodbye. See: Alexandra Burke, Pixie Lott, Tulisa, LFL peaking at #26 despite the BRIT's and Jonathan Ross.

Plus, millions of people listen to Capital and Radio 1 every day, as well as regional radio.

It's always boiled down to this, she needs to make them want to play her  I'm pretty sure if she released another Hung Up or 4 minutes that smashed everywhere, they would have to play her. Their reasoning is that younger audience are not here for her current stuff and look at Rebel Heart stats, they're not wrong.

Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn

I second this, LFL was not the best 1st single choice, probably not even single-worthy whatsoever!

Agreed. This has nothing to do with an ageist move, they just prefer to play other artists because let's face it, she's not a good radio investment.

What an idiot. You can't find a more relevant artist than the Queen of Pop
