Im just pointing out the hypocrisy and why complaining about anyone being negative towards her first week sales, to me, is a fruitless effort because even if I don't care to do it, why shouldn't she get some ****? Everyone else does. I don't think she deserves it any less than anyone else, especially considering how much the critics have overrated this album already. And im so not into this whole like circle jerk mentality of what I bolded in your post. Theres some monsters that try so hard to like Madonna and be a "stan" and obsess over her and be nice to her and her fans and meanwhile they get a pass for ****ting on Gaga and Gaga gets criticism and were just supposed to take it or agree and it just makes the fanbase as a whole look ****ing pathetic imo. Not saying people shouldn't like Madonna to prove a point either, not at all. But I just hate when people make a conscious effort to do or not do something. Just be real. But why keep feeding into the cycle? Why not just leave it altogether and let immature people who insult numbers stay immature people who insult numbers? I definitely don't agree with the bolded part, nobody should get **** about it. Just because Gaga does from a specific fan base, that isn't a green light to do the same back. It's the amount of hate ARTPOP got and still gets from the majority of GGD because of its chart performance. It seems odd to me that the same people that had meltdowns and started talking sh*t about the album, its production, songwriting and everything else as soon as it was clear that she would "only" sell 258k first week, are now the ones who hail 121k first week and a #2 as a massive success. I'm feeling really frustrated because so many of want to give Gaga a hard time, berate her and criticize her while somebody who does half as well or just as well as Gaga gets praised the sh*t out of them (this is not just exclusive to Madonna tbh).I don't understand why somebody on GAGAdaily would even attempt to do that, except for the sake of being a troll. There were news articles that told how it worked at the time. Plus, I knew fans that bought tickets and got the give away CD. The CDs came with the purchase of a ticket to the concert. Did Lady Gaga also do this with her latest tour, I saw her previous one, but not the one for ARTPOP it was free in Quebec City with a music festival and outdoor.Most artists are not doing this. Prince handed out CDs at the door. They actually changed the rules because of his give away, but Madonna found another loophole to pad her sales.No, Gaga did not offer a free CD or download with tickets sold to her tour.
