Does Lady GaGa know how to tracklist properly?

There isn't really a right or wrong way, it depends on the artists preference. So I guess yeah she does.

Does it really matter? If you enjoy the songs you don't care for the order tbh

I kinda agree with the second third being messy. However, Mary Jane Holland to Applause is in my opinion the smartest thing Gaga and her team have done. An energetic song about x/partying/d--gs then a sad song abouth emptiness, then an uplifting song like Gypsy and finally the dance smash hit single APPLAUSE. :queenga:

TF and BTW have good tracklists. TFM is an EP so who cares.

ARTPOP seemed unfocused and rushed.

Yes, because one second she is a tracklist then suddenly a tracklist is her.

I think the order of the tracklisting is one of the best things about Gaga's albums, especially Born This Way and ARTPOP. For a pop album, ARTPOP has a very nice order, the transition between Aura - Venus - GUY - Sex Dreams sounds really good. Now, with Sex Dreams, then the experimental Jewels N' Drugs, then the pop rock MANiCURE and then Do What U Want. It's like every one of those songs have its unique sound and they don't sound alike because of the music. Then it's ARTPOP and Swine, etc. but the last part of the album is also really good (MJH - Dope - Gypsy - Applause). So  yeah, I think for an album that is not as synchronized as Confessions on a Dance Floor, it's actually a nice order, even Born This Way.

What is the complaint with ARTPOP's tracking? the only flaw I see in J&D.

GaGa.

No, she admitted she didn't know how she was going to tracklist ARTPOP.

She's done an all right job all things considered.

ARTPOP the album was a bit messy anyway no matter how you cut it. I like that she tried to tell a story with it (s-x songs clumped together; materialism, and happy songs about d--gs slowly but surely fading into a sad song about addiction (Dope), then a love story via Gypsy (to give a running continuity about the earlier subject the s-x jams were about) & ending in a high note with Applause.

I'm not sure Jewels n' Drugs would fit in anywhere, to be quite honest with you.

For me, I think ARTPOP actually had the best track listing out of all her albums. The only strange bit for me was the jump from ARTPOP to Swine... But again, there just aren't that many songs that Swine would sound good next to.

I really enjoy the yin-yang pairings of songs. Like how Aura is about hiding your s-xuality for the right guy, and Venus is about letting that guy "take you to his planet." And how Donatella is a mockery of how people view the fashion world, but Fashion is about how empowering it can be. Then there's obviously the MJH/Dope story. I think the ARTPOP track listing is actually very well thought out.

I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!!

I've always thought the tracklisting of ARTPOP and BTW was great

I think Gaga's perfectly capable of doing it herself.
