Heavy Metal Lover! Not because what it's called, but because that song has a strong instrumental and a great melody. My sister LOVES it and she usually listens to metal. Actually the whole Born This Way album is influenced by metal/rock so you'll probably find new favorite songs there! :rockstar:

These basically. By the way, what has made you be into gaga NOW ? Her latest performances?

And welcome to GGD!

try Electric Chapel

I think that is the most "metal" you can find of all her songs!

Bad Bromance

Hello, I just started getting in to Lady Gaga about a week ago. I have only listened to metal for the last 20 years or so. I was just wondering what you guys would recommend for someone like me?

From the songs I have heard so far my favorites are Scheiße, Speechless, and I like it rough. Bloody Mary and Bad Romance are great as well. The only songs I have heard are the ones I listed as my favorites, and the whole album "The Fame".

Thanks for any help.

Welcome to GGD!!!  I would recommend that you listen to Born this Way, the album, in its entirety.  The album has so many metal/rock influences that I think you will find it very enjoyable to listen.

May I ask what made you decide to start listening to Gaga now?  Was it all the praise she received at the Oscars??  Once again, welcome to our forum!!

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.

Wow! Thanks everyone, I wasn't expecting so many responses! I appreciate the help. I just bought the "Born This Way" album, and am loving it so far. I have always had a deep appreciation for excellent vocals of any musical style. After the Oscars a co-worker of mine told me how amazing her voice is. I didn't look up her performance right away, but I did buy  the album "The Fame". I really enjoy The Fame. Every song is good in my opinion.  After I started listening to her I looked up her Oscar performance and I must say it was very amazing. Ever since then I have been obsessed with her music.

Music needs more than good vocals though, I tried listening to other artists the internet recommended, like nikki minaj, Britney Spears, and a few others. I guess there are a few songs I liked by those artists, but I didn't like them enough to put them on my phone. I could be very very wrong about this, but I feel like most of the pop artists I listened to were just singers. There is nothing wrong with that, but Lady Gaga has a great voice and so much more. I don't know much about Gaga but I would be willing to bet that she has been in to music her whole life and I would also be willing to bet that she can play an instrument of some sort. I also feel like she might have been classically trained, or a self taught prodigy. The other artists just felt so bland to me. This is my opinion of course and I mean no offense in any way to anyone.

Are there any other artists you guys might recommend? If anyone is curious, my favorite artist is Tarja Turunen, and my favorite song by her is called Anteroom of death. Thanks again for the awesome responses to my question.

I need to add that when I said the other artists are just singers, I am purely speaking about  their albums. I know they are all amazing performers. My only problem with the others I tried out was that they just had great vocals but on a generic beat. Nothing interesting going on musically in their songs except the vocals.
