User 352 Posted March 15, 2015 Share Posted March 15, 2015 When i'm really honest, it's very difficult, because for me in  ARTPOP there no songs which stand out.For me most songs on ARTPOP missing an special atmosphere and haven't a strong character. Do What U Want ( It's definitely a very cool and smooth synth-r'n'b song, but R.Kelly for me destroyed the song, it's a shame that he featured the song. It's a catastrophe)Applause ( the verses are so theatrical and gagaesk > love Gagas voice there > like Bowie.But the chorus is not good produced in my opinion, it destroys the atmosphere of the song because the synthesizer sounds get not the room they deserve, so the chorus sounds like a chaotic soup )The beggining of Aura > till second 35 it's a masterpiece, full of atmosphere. Dangerous and unique and reminds me of an western film, very interesting. A storytelling that reminds me of Michael Jackson, but in a scary way.The rest is boring because to try hard and without thrilling melody.( Sex Dreams in the verses has an bombastic atmosphere, but i don't like the meaning of the song ) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
