At least Venus isn't cliche like everything on 1989. :later:

Get over it, I'd rather listen to ANYTHING on 1989 rather than - walk - down - the - runway - but - don't - puke- Its- okay.

Is quite obvious that everyone repeats words/lyrics. But Taylor over does it in a way that sounds annoying. Is like you can tell that she purposely wants to make the songs catchy. But it did not work out for her, most of the time. But anyways, the content is just lacking, and some of the lyrics seem to be there to fill up the song rather than because they are going to be interesting.

Take me to your planet, take me to your planet, take me to your leader your leader your leader?????

I noticed the most of the songs have very similar themes. I did not need any one to tell me or to influence me.

That is your opinion, and again, it doesn't mean that they are superior just because Taylor's are more relateable.

No. This album isn't inspired by her breakups or failed relationships but by her move to NY, her girlfriends and the 80s. And saying Taylor only writes about the same thing is 2009 internet troll shade btw

Shut your mouth and open it till your fave releases their 12th studio or gets the critical aclaim 1989 is receiving from real music critics, not nobodies like we people in this thread are!!!

thats the thing....I don't have a "fave". I have a diverse musical category and happen to be fascinated by Gaga, which is why I am on here. So why are we turning this into a war? It's a ****ing basic pop album that has some good points, has some good bops, but in no way is culturally prominent or important beyond the two or three singles it will have that do well. Its all the same. Do you pay attention to any artist out of this century, or genre, or background? lol

Did I defend Donatella? No, that song is trash (imo) but at least it is about something besides blaming men for everything. Taylor Swift is immature and tells her stories so one-sided. :later:

Actually you can have an opinion, but there is some slight fact when lyrics suck and you can tell they didn't take a lot of thought process. In Taylor's case, especially on 1989, it's obvious.

Everyone else brought Gaga in first. And it's ok to bash someone for one thing but turn a blind eye and cover your ears when an artist you like does it? Do you realize how off that sounds?

Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~
