RBNLM 1,640
You really should tell us the real meaning of the song now O.o I'm curious in few words, the song is about gaga and her relationship with the fame/music industry and her fans using religious metaphors ( the song has different meanings). Jesus is the fame/music industry and her fans Bloody Mary is Gaga. She is saying how outsiders to the relationship between Mary and jesus will judge their relationship even if they loved each others, it is about how loving someone can make it seem you are worshipping them and they become for you like a religion and only time will tell how their relationship will be remembered, and she tell how people will always see her as a bad person whether she is good or not. She is trapped in her fame she is inside the monster she wanted so badly ( the music industry ) and her only light in the dark are her fans that whatever happens will be those who know her as a person and those who understand her art even if others are trying to destroy her. It's true though. Gaga wrote Telephone for Britney, she didn't want it, and Gaga took it back. There's even a demo of Britney singing the song i know i'm not talking about this...but about the meaning of the song which was carried out by the video itself ( that is a masterpiece artistical wise ) it seems i'm talking to a group of 12 yo katycats...embarassing. it seems that you know nothing about pop culture... That's an awesome interpretation! I thought it was referencing the historical Bloody Mary, but this is better than that! I'll have to re-read this a few times while listening to the song to really absorb
EdgeofTeeth 1,934
I'm already kind of getting tired of it tbh It has some good and catchy songs, but I can already tell that this album won't have any longevity for me.

I'm sorry, I know talking to me must severely lower your most certainly higher IQ and extensive knowledge of everything pop culture. ;( I'll just go back to my stickers and tea cups with my middle school homies. Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~

RBNLM 1,640
While you're at it, please tell this 12 y/o katycat what telephone is about  telephone is about a simple line of meanings but explained through trivial metaphors traveling abreast of purely pop themes. Gaga is talking once again about the fame and her fear about it inserting controversial pop culture imagery. The industry is represented as this awful elite that create those "manufactured" pop artist to appeal to the masses with their catchy songs inducing people to buy their records! gaga here is talking in a metaphorical way about the stereotype of a pop star (making a sort of parody of herself) who is set to "kill" the masses warped in an american flag (which represent the elite par excellence in the pop imagery )... she is saying stop calling me there is no one at home...i'm busy...sorry i cannot answer...she is like a brainless robot who do anything the industry is saying her to do ( like "killing" the masses serving "FAST FOOD" music with honey ) she won't answer to none others! this is the point of the song gaga is talking about the bad relationship between the artist who is not free to completely be himself and the industry. Sister 9,907
It has to be. Taylor Swift is so simple. I don't exactly hate on her and she can be cute, but I never see or hear anything spectacular or anything that makes me think or that stands apart from anything else going on. The kids all like her and she is "it" right now, I give her that much. She has a generous fanbase and that is what drives all of this. She will be around as long as she keeps them happy. The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

Brandon 457
Why is there even a discussion with full or pressed people. Stop the drama start the music? And don't call an album overrated if your opinion of it don't reflects with the sales.

Nothing more nothing less.
