​It depends on what pace the songs/everything you just have listened are set. Applause naturally sounds faster when you play Dope right before, or kind of slow when you just watched something with really fast-paced dialogue.

​It happens because your brain get used to a slow (or a fast) tempo . and then when you hear Applause it sounds either faster either slower because your brain compares it with the previous song..Or at least I think so

I love this song but I find it so weird because sometimes it sounds really fast and other times it sounds really slow. Does anyone else experience this?

Omg yes. When I used to listen to this song constantly for a year straight back from like aug 2013- aug 2014 I would expirience this daily. I found that on low volume it would sound faster and high volume it sounds slower. I expirience this issue with Bad Romance and Poker Face also Masquerade by Nicki Minaj. I guess songs that are really catchy with a certain beat pattern have this
