And even though the single may face massive decline of interest come the next couple of weeks, if not a month at most, due to its rather unexpected and unique sound for a Rihanna single, I'm honestly not troubled at all. For crying out loud, Rihanna has a freaking collaboration with one of the most successful male artists of all time, a living legend whose chart domination decades ago, both as part of bands and as a solo, is only mirrored today by Rihanna, not just in the UK but also in the US and almost elsewhere. So again, whether this single fails to sell millions or not, that's insignificant. If this, I mean this new direction, is her way of cementing a legacy, I couldn't be happier.
