Andertxu 2
Well, I didn't expect this at all as a first single, after all the DJs she's been working with. I'm not judging, but cannot think how she plans to deliver a cohesive album with an acoustic single, followed (for sure) by a dance hit. I love the song, though
StrawberryBlond 14,123
1. Rihanna's voice was praised by critics when they reviewed the song. 2. Many people love the song. 2. Her fans loved Unapologetic and a lot of them think it's her best album. 3. Rihanna flopped with Rated R and came back stronger with Loud. 4. Why are your posts always so damn long??? 1. And it's ok at best. Her voice hasn't changed since she's been famous and this is not a vocally challenging song. 2. And many people don't. Or some fans are trying to convince themselves they like it. 3. That's why I said I was half right - fan reception towards Unapologetic was mixed and it's one of her lowest sellers. 4. But she didn't flop that bad, nor was she being as experimental as she is now. I don't think she can recover from a second flop (technically third, as her debut only had one hit and didn't sell as a complete body of work). 5. Because I have a lot to say. And I'll say it. Really, people are still hung up on my long posts? Move on.

Nastix 66
Riri going Country It's not good. It's pretty dull. In my opinion most of the people who like it are either being slightly pretentious or excited because it's been such a long time since we've heard new music from her. There's way better country music out there, but of course people dismiss it while liking this boring song, becuase it's Riri
Whispering 18,865
This will flop so hard....what is she and her team thinking It won't flop. I don't even care for the song, but I know that it is a move that the media and radio stations are going to eat up. Now, will it end up being another Uptown Funk or some other number one smash...I don't think so. It will be a hit, though, because it is a Rihanna lead single (from a two year...and counting...break between album releases) with a couple of other big names in music and radio is going to push this! DONUTELLA 16
This is such a grower, and it's has a unique stance against a lot of the loud, intense EDM influenced songs out now. There's a slow growing trend to more simple and/or acoustic styles of music happening in the pop culture area, and I'm really interested in seeing where this will take us. Also I really like this song. :nooo:

Retep 0
Writers: Kanye West, Paul McCartney, Kirby Lauryen, Mike Dean, Ty Dolla Sign, Dave Longstreth, Dallas Austin, Elon Rutberg, Noah Goldstein Not only did Rihanna have no lyrical role in this, but it also took NINE people to write it How do you require nine people to write a three minute song? To be fair for legality reasons if anyone even contributed to changing one word they could be considered a 'writer' and if unlisted could probably later go back and sue; I think that'd go for any instrumentation changes too. RAMROD 104,617
No thanks, mostly because I'm bitter that a Beatle, his royal highness Sir Paul McCartney doesn't have a more prominent role and is just on backup. EXACTLY! It's not just the fact that he is only backup for me. Like him featuring in a Rihanna track is just Imho, if anything we must salute him for not being so egotistical, even though we know he can push Kanye and RIhanna to let him sing if he wants. A collab doesn't always meant the guest star(s) have to sing. An artist enjoy all other capabilities they have too and it can still be prominent. Say, composing music, or take part with making the lyrics, etc. I don't think they would put him and his name on the cover if his contribution is minimal tbh. Just like the way Brian May of Queen and the late Clarence Clemons working with Gaga who only put them on credits. My problem is not that he doesn't sing, it's that he collaborated with Rihanna in the first place. I mean, he was a Beatle, brought enormous cultural and musical changes and was decorated by the Queen. Rihanna twerks her ass and shows her tits. Don't get me wrong, I like Rihanna and don't care that much for Paul McCartney but this feels like a major downgrade for him who will love me when the night is over
JaysAMess 27,843
Rihsus receiving critical acclaim for her vocals. A critically acclaimed comeback AND a single which will give Rihsus her 14th #1. The haters (aka Tay Swift stans) be SEETHING because the hopes and dreams of their faves ever getting another #1 has been crushed. Lol. Your description though, "twerks her ass and shows her tits" sounds more like Miley than Rih. And if Paul had done a song with Miley, then yes, that'd definitely be a downgrade. But this isn't. And ok, that description fits Miley better but it's not like Rihanna is that different. I am not hating on this nor her. The hate does not come from Taylor stans only since many people dislike it. And my dislike for Paul doing this has nothing to do with the fact that I like Taylor.
